On Friday August 14, an estimated 13 children were killed at Rockford’s child disposal center. We saw numerous signs at the mill today that show us what we have become as a society. Most of the cars entering the mill parking lot were expensive automobiles including large SUV’s and even one Mercedes Benz. This fact completely discredits the lies of the abortion industry that they are there to help poor women – the abortion industry has turned child killing into a lifestyle "choice" for the middle class and wealthy.
The one car that was older and not in good shape that pulled into the mill parking lot only stayed a few minutes. The young mother driving the car went inside the mill for a short time then drove away and came back ten minutes later. We see this on a regular basis with the less financially well off mothers who want to abort their children. As most of you know our abortion facility puts a price on a child’s life based on how old she is. When the clinic does an ultra-sound and realizes the baby in the womb is older than they thought they make the mothers go get more money. As you can see for yourself from the testimony below of a woman who had an abortion at Rockford’s abortion mill they charge more money to kill older children because sometimes the baby fights for her life:
The following statement appeared in the April 11, 2004 edition of the Rockford Register-Star and describes the nightmare that just one of many mothers has experienced at Rockford’s abortion facility.
"Once inside the abortion clinic, I gave the receptionist
a fake name and tried not to think about what I was
doing. A nurse escorted me into the abortion room.
She helped me get ready for the procedure. The
abortionist came into the room and began my abortion.
The nurse was leaning over me and staring into my
eyes. After a little she asked the doctor, "Is something
wrong" He said, "It’s trying to get away — I’ve tried
three times!" From that moment on I regretted my
abortion! I wanted to run away and die."
We also saw this morning the life saving results of a courageous post-abortive Christian woman who stood on the sidewalk sharing with the mothers going in the heartbreak of abortion. Joining her in sidewalk counseling were two faith-filled pregnant mothers who came to pray and offer help to other mothers and a young mother with her baby in her arms. Because of the faith and love of women like these and the dozens of other pro-lifers who came out to pray today we know two mothers chose life and two other mothers left before the abortionist arrived!!!!
All glory and praise to God for the lives saved this morning and may those who died and chose death for their child at Rockford’s abortion mill be healed and saved by the mercy of Christ.
On Wednesday August 18, an estimated nine children died inside of Rockford’s abortion facility.
The mission of Rockford Pro-Life Initiative is to eliminate abortion in the Rockford area through Prayer, Fasting, Education and Personal Sacrifice.
Elderly Catholic Nun Threatened With Arrest For "Touching" the Car Of A Mother Who Freely Stopped To Talk With Her In Rockford
This attempt at intimidation by two police officers happens just a week after the city refuses to press charges against an abortion clinic employee who ran into a pro-lifer.
Rockford Illinois, August 14, 2009 – Two Rockford police officers were watching the conversation and joyful exchange between sidewalk counselor Sister Rosalia Bauer and mother at Rockford’s abortion mill. The mother who was leaving the abortion facility had intentionally stopped her car and rolled down her window to speak with the side-walk counselor to share her joy at choosing life for her baby.
The two women talked, praised God, and exchanged names and phone numbers.
As this happy exchange was taking place two Rockford police officers watched the women (the sidewalk counselor is a 70 year old Catholic Nun) talk, pray, and exchange information.
During the conversation the elderly nun may have leaned over and touched the car with her hand. That did not sit well with the Rockford police department so the officers immediately let the elderly Nun know she is in danger of arrest if she ever touches a car at the abortion mill again. It didn’t seem to matter that the car stopped to talk with the Nun, that the mother in the car rolled down her window and asked to speak with her, was joyful, and even gave the elderly Nun her name and phone number.
It is apparent that in Rockford Illinois if an employee of Rockford’s abortion facility hits a pro-lifer with her car while speeding and even leaves the scene of the accident she will not be charged. But if an elderly pro-life Nun simply puts her hand on the window ledge of the car of a mother who chooses life and wanted to share her joy with her – the elderly Nun faces arrest.
The interesting thing is the more the abortion facility attacks God and Christians and the greater the double standard pro-lifers face from public officials the more God’s grace seems to flow by increasing the number of Christians who publicly pray at the abortion facility, the fewer mothers who are entering the abortion facility, and the more mothers who come and tell us they have chosen LIFE.
Thankfully the Rockford Christian community has responded with patience and charity to these difficult situations. May we all continue to be worthy representatives for Christ at the "foot of the Cross" in Rockford.
YouTube Yanks Video Showing Carhart Handyman’s Abusive Behavior
August 19, 2009
Omaha, NE – YouTube.com has removed a video that showed a handyman hired by late-term abortionist LeRoy Carhart verbally abusing a pro-lifer and a clinic worker that he identified as his wife. The handyman also described himself as a "Satanist" and pointed to his tattoos of demons as proof. The video also showed workers preparing Carhart’s dilapidated Bellevue, Nebraska abortion clinic for paint.
At one point in the video, the handyman said to Larry Donlan of Rescue the Heartland, "Where do you [expletive deleted] live so I can go to your house?"
The handyman’s wife was recognized to be Lindsey Alejandro, a former employee of George Tiller’s now closed late-term abortion clinic in Wichita, Kansas. Ms. Alejandro is known as the abortion worker who falsified the fetal age of a woman’s pregnancy in order to avoid having to comply with Kansas laws.
Cheryl Sullenger, who posted the video for Operation Rescue received the following notice from YouTube.com:
"I completely resent the outrageous and false notion that the video was in anyway abusive on our part," said Sullenger. "The threats and intimidation shown in this video were made by the Carhart employee against the pro-life photographer, Larry Donlan. I posted the video with his permission so that the world could see the truth about the abuse and threats that pro-lifers are forced to endure. I have asked YouTube to immediately restore the video and remove the flag from my account."
"This video showed the abortion industry in its true light, and it isn’t a pretty sight," said Sullenger. "The pro-aborts who reported the video as abuse will go to any lengths to cover up the truth about this ugly side of the abortion business and the threats and intimidation inflicted on pro-lifers."
We have re-posted the video. It can be viewed by clicking here. Caution: obscene and abusive language and behavior on the part of abortion employees.
Health Care Bills Could Result in 300-600K More Abortions, Scrap Pro-Life Laws
by Maria Vitale
So-called health care reform could become the worst thing to happen to abortion rates since Roe v. Wade. When you hear the phrase health care reform, you might think of cutting costs, eliminating arcane rules, and ensuring coverage for the hard-to-insure. Raising abortion rates would not seem to be a logical part of the equation. Yet, consider this quote from one of the primary experts in abortion law, National Right to Life Legislative Director Douglas Johnson: The Kennedy bill would result in the greatest expansion of abortion since Roe v. Wade. Thats because the Senate proposal would result in federally mandates coverage of abortion in nearly all health plans. The feds would also mandate recruitment of abortionists by local health networksa scary thought. Abortion would be federally funded on a gargantuan scale. We know from experience that taxpayer funding of abortion results in more abortions. It’s been estimated that the health care reform plans now on the table could increase abortions by 300,000 to 600,000 a year because of federal subsidies for abortion.
Pro-Life Blacks, Democrats, Doctors Head to Congress to Oppose Health Care Bill
Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) — A coalition of pro-life blacks, doctors and Democrats are headed to Capitol Hill tomorrow to press the case for getting abortion out of the Congressional health care bills. They will be joined by Alveda King, the niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., who will ask that Congress not expand abortions. The participants will host a press conference and then take their case to the halls of Congress to meet with members of the House and Senate and their staff. In a statement, King tells LifeNews.com that the health care legislation takes the wrong approach by targeting unborn children with abortion instead of assisting them with health care. The unborn and elderly should be included in health insurance reform as recipients of care, not victims of genocide, King said. She said pro-life advocates have no problem with promoting better legitimate health care, but can’t support bills that open the door for more abortion funding.
Pro-Choice Abortionist Interviewer Surprised by Her Reaction to Witnessing Abortion
"There was a discomfort I hadn’t expected," she says, "my emotional reaction to watching abortions."
By Patrick B. Craine
August 15, 2009 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Newsweek’s Sarah Kliff added her voice to the media campaign softening the image of late-term abortionist LeRoy Carhart on Saturday with her report ‘The Abortion Evangelist’, but says she did not anticipate and has difficulty explaining her emotional reaction to witnessing Carhart actually take the life of an unborn child.
Kliff spent 4 days visiting Carhart’s Nebraska abortuary, interviewing him, speaking with the mothers who were seeking abortions, and watching him at work. Painting him as a martyr for the cause, she describes Carhart’s plight as one of the few remaining abortionists left in the country willing to abort late in pregnancy, and his commitment to that cause despite his fears of being killed by vigilante anti-abortionists, as was his friend George Tiller.
In a companion piece to the story, however, Kliff admits that while she is an experienced reporter on abortion-related issues, she was surprised by her emotional reaction to witnessing an abortion for the first time.
Travelling to Nebraska, Kliff says, she was not sure if she even wanted to watch an abortion. "I confess I was hesitant to step into Carhart’s operating room," she says. Knowing that she would most likely see a first-term abortion, rather than late-term, and knowing all that was involved, "I still felt uneasy," she says.
She attributes her reluctance to abortion’s controversial nature. "I was nervous, I think, to watch something so controversial. … I didn’t know how I’d react."
She began by interviewing patients and going through the preparatory procedures with them, but says that "When their names were called, and I’d spent all morning with these women, it felt unnatural to stop short of the operating room."
Entering a room with a glass window giving her a view into both of Carhart’s abortion rooms, she watched as Carhart worked to "empty the contents of the uterus" of several women.
While to her the first-term abortions "looked like an extended, more invasive version of a standard ob-gyn exam," "there was a discomfort I hadn’t expected," she says, "my emotional reaction to watching abortions."
She describes several examples that made her react: a married couple in their mid-30s; a single mother with a 10-year-old daughter, who began to cry when they discussed abortion; and a 23-year-old who was 16 weeks pregnant.
Upon her return from Nebraska, Kliff was surprised by the reactions of her pro-abortion friends. "Friends who supported legal abortion bristled slightly when I told them where I’d been and what I’d watched," she says. "Acquaintances at a party looked a bit regretful to have asked about my most recent assignment."
Finally, she says, she continues to struggle with her reaction. "I had (and still have) difficulty understanding my own reaction," she says, "both relieved to have watched a minimally invasive surgery and distressed by the emotionality of the process. Abortion involves weighty choices that, depending on how you view it, involve a life, or the potential for life."
Operation Rescue (OR) announced today that Nebraska is launching an investigation into Carhart’s abortion business. OR says that the safety and legality of Carhart’s abortion business are questionable. The abortionist has botched numerous abortions in the past, leading to emergency trips to the hospital and the death of one woman due to a third-trimester abortion.

Abortion Survivors Tell Their Stories
Gianna Jesson– In 1977, Gianna’s mother waited until she was seven months pregnant then tried to terminate her pregnancy. The mother was injected with a saline solution, which is supposed to cause the unborn baby to suffocate as it breathes in the corrosive salt. Usually, this technique is effective and babies are born burned (candy apple babies) and dead. In Gianna’s case, she was born alive. The doctor was not present or she would have been dispatched permanently. Gianna suffered injuries from ingesting the salt and developed cerebral palsy. Today, Gianna is an advocate for the pro-life cause. She testified before the Constitution Subcommittee of the House Judiciary Committee on the issue of abortion.
Ana Rosa Rodriguez–In 1991, when Ana’s mother was an unbelievable 32 weeks along, she decided to end the pregnancy. The method of extraction in late term abortions involves dismembering the “products of conception.” The doctor ripped little Ana’s arm off during the procedure. The mother was told to return the next day to complete the abortion procedure. Little Ana was born alive and perfect–except for her missing arm–before the abortionist could complete his task.
Heidi Huffman– In 1978, an unwed teenager was pressured into an abortion. She submitted to suction and the curette and was sent home. Two months later, she discovered she was still pregnant. A baby girl, Heidi, miraculously survived the abortion, with minimal amniotic fluid and minimal placenta left intact.
Sarah Smith–Sarah Smith was a twin. Her mother already had five children and decided abortion was the only option, not realizing she was carrying two children. The mother submitted to a D & C which resulted in the death of Sarah’s brother. Weeks later, it was discovered that one baby had escaped the dismemberment.
Amy Charlton–Amy survived three abortions! In spite of three saline abortion procedures, this baby hung on and was born alive and healthy.
These children are abortion survivors. Others survived the abortion procedure but later died from their injuries. One such case was Sarah Brown. This poor baby was 36 weeks along when a doctor stabbed her brain with a poison-filled needle three times. Somehow, Sarah survived and was born two days later, though left blind. Sarah was adopted and hung on for six months, then suffered a stroke. This little fighter lived for five years, then Sarah succumbed to the maltreatment she’d suffered in the womb and died.
