Marie and Vicki-two faithful servants for life in Rockford.

Well Done Good And Faithful Servants -Two Women Have A Combined 50 Years Of Sidewalk Counseling At Rockford’s Abortion Mill.

Rockford IL.-  Marie Gestrich and Vicki Johnson, one Catholic and one Protestant, have been praying and sidewalk counseling at the Northern Illinois Women’s Center in Rockford since it opened in 1985.
The love and perseverance of these two women in their efforts to help mothers and children in need is an inspiring story of Christian faith and love that has touched thousands of lives for decades at the Rockford killing center.
They have seen it all at the Rockford mill.  The callous disregard for human life from the abortionists and staff, combined with the deranged antics of the mill landlord, has never stopped them in their ministry to bring life to this place of death.
When Marie was asked why she has spent over 25 five years in the cold, heat, and rain to stand at this abortion mill and she quietly answered, "Because no child should be left here to die alone."
We also asked Vicki a couple of questions, “Why haven’t you given up after all these years?" She responded, "Because abortion has not ended yet and over 1,000,000 babies still die every year in this country.  As Christians, we all have a duty to "love our neighbor."  There are many ways to live out our Christian faith but for me there is no greater need than to try to "rescue those being led to death."  Our world aborts 50,000,000 unborn children every year.  There is no greater evil in the sheer number of deaths."
"What are some of the good things you have experienced sidewalk counseling at the mill?"  "A mom leaving and her baby living.  We all know that there are many children alive today, perhaps hundreds, because of the prayers and counseling on the sidewalk outside the abortion clinic.  We only meet a few of the babies over the years, but we know that we will meet many more when we reach heaven.  I also feel honored that God has called me to this work, as difficult as it is.  I am serving a high purpose in the work of the Lord and it renews my soul."

Rockford Pro-Life Initiative 12 29 2010

Through the grace of God, one mother chose life today, Twelve children were sacrificed at NIWC;   Out Of Town Abortion Supporters To Keep Rockford Abortion Mill In The Killing Business;     Pro-Lifers Legal Rights Trampled Again in Rockford;    A New Year Brings Signs Of Hope For A Culture Of Life In Rockford;       THE PRO-LIFE CORNER 2011 IS READY…..

On Wednesday December 29, an estimated 12 children were killed inside Rockford’s abortion mill.  In many ways it was a tale of two cities this morning at the abortion mill.  We could see the abortion mill workers arrive with angry looks on their faces, and one of them was even muttering to herself.
When the mothers arrived, most of them had their heads down or covered, trying not to look at the awful building they were entering.  One man brought his girlfriend into the abortion mill and told pro-lifers he’s had "enough" when he walked away and left his child inside the building to be killed.
The most striking thing this morning was when the abortion mill landlord walked across the street to check on one of his cars.  When he walked back to his house of death, he passed right through a group of smiling pro-life teenagers who were praying for the unborn.  In the image of the bitter, sardonic abortion mill landlord with teeth clinched stomping past the faithful, smiling, and prayerful pro-life teenagers, the contrast between the culture of death and the people of life could be clearly seen.
The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.  Psalm 19:8
One young mother who saw so many witnesses for Christ and life on the sidewalks in front of the mill was able to discern for herself that abortion is never the right answer.  By the grace of God and the prayers of many people, one young mother this morning chose life for her child.
As she was pulling out of the abortion mill, she stopped to speak with pro-lifers about her joyful decision to choose life.  Both mom and the friend she had with her were happy beyond words.
The young mother was offered any help she may need, but said she would be OK now.  As mom, baby, and friend drove away from the Rockford killing center, their smiles could still be seen a block away.

Legal Rights Trampled Again in Rockford

Two Rockford Aldermen Take A Courageous Stand; Aldermen Beach And Mark Were The Only Aldermen To Vote To Help Mothers And Children, As City Denies the Legal Rights Of Pro-Lifers Again.

The Rockford Pro-Life Initiative would like to thank Alderman Frank Beach and Doug Mark for their support for a safe parking place for the mobile ultrasound motor-home in its effort to offer free help to mothers and children in Rockford.
On Monday December 20, 2010 the Rockford city council defeated a request for a parking permit for the mobile ultrasound unit.
One of the major reasons for the defeat of the request was a lie told by a representative of the City Works Department to the Rockford Traffic Commission concerning the Pro-life citizens of Rockford.
On November 10 2010, a representative of the Rockford City Works Department told the Traffic Commission that if a permit was granted for pro-lifers to park on 10th street, that pro-lifers may begin to jump out from behind parked cars into oncoming traffic to stop cars and force pro-life information on them.
No pro-lifer in Rockford has ever jumped in front of a moving car on 10th street or Broadway to force information on anyone.  What was most telling about this lie is pro-lifers were denied their legal right to video tape what was said at this open meeting.
This denial of our legal right to video tape enabled the City Works Department and the abortion clinic lawyer to keep hidden from the public the misinformation they disseminated to the Traffic commission.
It is very clear the city of Rockford had something to hide at this meeting and was very willing to take away the constitutional rights of pro-lifers to keep what they told the traffic commission from the public.
Below documents how the vote went that defeated a request for a parking permit.  If the city of Rockford acted honestly it may have had a different outcome.
27. Alderman Johnson moved the adoption of a Code and Regulation Committee Report recommending that "No Action" be taken on the following item:
1. Request from Kevin Rilott, for assigned parking spaces on 10th Street.
MOTION PREVAILED by a Roll Call vote of:
Ayes: Curran, Wasco, Hervey, Jacobson, Johnson, Timm, Elyea, Robertson -8-
Nays: Mark, Beach -2-
Absent: Thompson-Kelly, Beck, McNeely -3-
Below is a link to the Illinois Open Meeting Act that the city of Rockford was in clear violation of when it forced pro-lifers to turn off both video cameras we had at the Traffic Commission meeting on November 10, 2010.
The city protected Wayne Webster again by denying the public the right to hear false testimony from a representative of the city works department, the misrepresentations of the abortion clinic lawyer, and the testimony of Wayne Webster hand picked Alderman Karen Elyea.
Taping and Filming: Section 2.05 of the Act (5 ILCS 120/2.05) provides that any
person may record a public meeting "by tape, film or other means." The section also provides
that "[t]he authority holding the meeting shall prescribe reasonable rules to govern the right to
make such recordings."

New Hope For 2011

A New Year Brings Signs Of Hope For A Culture Of Life In Rockford. The goal of the Rockford pro-life movement is to save children from the horror of abortion, provide help for mothers in need, and  honor Jesus Christ. Below are ten signs that a culture of life is slowly taking effect in our city.  We still have a long and difficult task ahead of us to ensure protection for all God’s children, but because of the grace of God, many lives are being saved and many souls brought to Christ.

10. Young Pro-Lifers – As abortion supporters continue to grow older, many young people are becoming pro-life.  We have a wonderful group of young Christians who come to the Rockford mill to pray.
9. Turnover In Mill Employees – The Rockford abortion mill has a new receptionist, and at least three other employees left the mill in 2010.  The pressure and stress of killing children in the womb are having an effect on those who kill the children of Rockford.
8. Public Opinion – National polls clearly show the country is turning pro-life.  In Rockford even abortion supporters are ashamed to be associated with this deranged abortion mill.
7. The Abortion Mill Landlord Will Be Held Accountable – In the summer of 2010, the abortion mill was blaring a local radio station over its public address system when a pro-lifer called into the station and made a pro-life plea that was broadcast over the clinic’s own public address system.  One clinic worker who heard it in the parking lot had a fit, and the abortion mill landlord had a melt-down.  He came charging out into the mill parking lot with a chainsaw in hand.
Charges have been filed against Wayne Webster for the chain saw incident, and his trial should take place in 2011.  It’s a positive sign to see this abortion mill finally being held accountable for its deviant behavior.
6. 40 Days For Life – Rockford is preparing for our third 40 days for life campaign from March 9 – April 17, 2011.  The power of prayer has saved countless lives at this mill.
5. Christians Like You Taking A Stand For Christ And Life – We always need more people to pray at the "foot of the cross" at our city’s abortion mill.  You are needed to be that sign of hope.  Please join your Christian sisters and brothers in prayer for babies and their mothers facing harm at the Northern Illinois Women’s Center.
4. Ultrasound = Life – Even if a woman has an appointment for an abortion, but she sees an ultrasound image of the baby within her, she chooses life 90% of the time.  We will continue to do all in our power in Rockford to allow women the choice to see  free ultrasounds of their children within them.
3. The Love And Unity Of Rockford Pro-lifers – Every single day that the abortion mill has been open to kill children for the last 25 years, Protestants and Catholics have stood together offering love and help for mothers in need and prayer for the children facing death.  This will continue until the day this house of death closes.
2. Numbers Continue To Remain Lower Than In The Past – 15 years ago the mill was open for killing three days a week, and as many as 50-70 babies were killed every week in Rockford.  Today they are open two days a week with 15-25 babies killed.  The power of prayer and love will outlast the evil of sin, Satan, and death at the Rockford abortion mill.
1. Jesus Christ  – Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.  He is  our eternal Sign of life and hope.

Benedict XVI's Christmas Eve Homily

"In the Weakness of Infancy, He Is the Mighty God"
VATICAN CITY, DEC. 24, 2010 ( Here is a Vatican translation of the homily Benedict XVI gave at tonight’s Christmas Eve Mass, celebrated in St. Peter’s Basilica.

Dear Brothers and Sisters!
"You are my son, this day I have begotten you" – with this passage from Psalm 2 the Church begins the liturgy of this holy night. She knows that this passage originally formed part of the coronation rite of the kings of Israel. The king, who in himself is a man like others, becomes the "Son of God" through being called and installed in his office. It is a kind of adoption by God, a decisive act by which he grants a new existence to this man, drawing him into his own being. The reading from the prophet Isaiah that we have just heard presents the same process even more clearly in a situation of hardship and danger for Israel: "To us a child is born, to us a son is given. The government will be upon his shoulder" (Is 9:6). Installation in the office of king is like a second birth. As one newly born through God’s personal choice, as a child born of God, the king embodies hope. On his shoulders the future rests. He is the bearer of the promise of peace. On that night in Bethlehem this prophetic saying came true in a way that would still have been unimaginable at the time of Isaiah. Yes indeed, now it really is a child on whose shoulders government is laid. In him the new kingship appears that God establishes in the world. This child is truly born of God. It is God’s eternal Word that unites humanity with divinity. To this child belong those titles of honour which Isaiah’s coronation song attributes to him: Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace (Is 9:6). Yes, this king does not need counsellors drawn from the wise of this world. He bears in himself God’s wisdom and God’s counsel. In the weakness of infancy, he is the mighty God and he shows us God’s own might in contrast to the self-asserting powers of this world.
Truly, the words of Israel’s coronation rite were only ever rites of hope which looked ahead to a distant future that God would bestow. None of the kings who were greeted in this way lived up to the sublime content of these words. In all of them, those words about divine sonship, about installation into the heritage of the peoples, about making the ends of the earth their possession (Ps 2:8) were only pointers towards what was to come – as it were signposts of hope indicating a future that at that moment was still beyond comprehension. Thus the fulfilment of the prophecy, which began that night in Bethlehem, is both infinitely greater and in worldly terms smaller than the prophecy itself might lead one to imagine. It is greater in the sense that this child is truly the Son of God, truly "God from God, light from light, begotten not made, of one being with the Father". The infinite distance between God and man is overcome. God has not only bent down, as we read in the Psalms; he has truly "come down", he has come into the world, he has become one of us, in order to draw all of us to himself. This child is truly Emmanuel – God-with-us. His kingdom truly stretches to the ends of the earth. He has truly built islands of peace in the world-encompassing breadth of the holy Eucharist. Wherever it is celebrated, an island of peace arises, of God’s own peace. This child has ignited the light of goodness in men and has given them strength to overcome the tyranny of might. This child builds his kingdom in every generation from within, from the heart. But at the same time it is true that the "rod of his oppressor" is not yet broken, the boots of warriors continue to tramp and the "garment rolled in blood" (Is 9:4f) still remains. So part of this night is simply joy at God’s closeness. We are grateful that God gives himself into our hands as a child, begging as it were for our love, implanting his peace in our hearts. But this joy is also a prayer: Lord, make your promise come fully true. Break the rods of the oppressors. Burn the tramping boots. Let the time of the garments rolled in blood come to an end. Fulfil the prophecy that "of peace there will be no end" (Is 9:7). We thank you for your goodness, but we also ask you to show forth your power. Establish the dominion of your truth and your love in the world – the "kingdom of righteousness, love and peace".
"Mary gave birth to her first-born son" (Lk 2:7). In this sentence Saint Luke recounts quite soberly the great event to which the prophecies from Israel’s history had pointed. Luke calls the child the "first-born". In the language which developed within the sacred Scripture of the Old Covenant, "first-born" does not mean the first of a series of children. The word "first-born" is a title of honour, quite independently of whether other brothers and sisters follow or not. So Israel is designated by God in the Book of Exodus (4:22) as "my first-born Son", and this expresses Israel’s election, its singular dignity, the particular love of God the Father. The early Church knew that in Jesus this saying had acquired a new depth, that the promises made to Israel were summed up in him. Thus the Letter to the Hebrews calls Jesus "the first-born", simply in order to designate him as the Son sent into the world by God (cf. 1:5-7) after the ground had been prepared by Old Testament prophecy. The first-born belongs to God in a special way – and therefore he had to be handed over to God in a special way – as in many religions – and he had to be ransomed through a vicarious sacrifice, as Saint Luke recounts in the episode of the Presentation in the Temple. The first-born belongs to God in a special way, and is as it were destined for sacrifice. In Jesus’ sacrifice on the Cross this destiny of the first-born is fulfilled in a unique way. In his person he brings humanity before God and unites man with God in such a way that God becomes all in all. Saint Paul amplified and deepened the idea of Jesus as first-born in the Letters to the Colossians and to the Ephesians: Jesus, we read in these letters, is the first-born of all creation – the true prototype of man, according to which God formed the human creature. Man can be the image of God because Jesus is both God and man, the true image of God and of man. Furthermore, as these letters tell us, he is the first-born from the dead. In the resurrection he has broken down the wall of death for all of us. He has opened up to man the dimension of eternal life in fellowship with God. Finally, it is said to us that he is the first-born of many brothers. Yes indeed, now he really is the first of a series of brothers and sisters: the first, that is, who opens up for us the possibility of communing with God. He creates true brotherhood – not the kind defiled by sin as in the case of Cain and Abel, or Romulus and Remus, but the new brotherhood in which we are God’s own family. This new family of God begins at the moment when Mary wraps her first-born in swaddling clothes and lays him in a manger. Let us pray to him: Lord Jesus, who wanted to be born as the first of many brothers and sisters, grant us the grace of true brotherhood. Help us to become like you. Help us to recognize your face in others who need our assistance, in those who are suffering or forsaken, in all people, and help us to live together with you as brothers and sisters, so as to become one family, your family.
At the end of the Christmas Gospel, we are told that a great heavenly host of angels praised God and said: "Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace among men with whom he is pleased!" (Lk 2:14). The Church has extended this song of praise, which the angels sang in response to the event of the holy night, into a hymn of joy at God’s glory – "we praise you for your glory". We praise you for the beauty, for the greatness, for the goodness of God, which becomes visible to us this night. The appearing of beauty, of the beautiful, makes us happy without our having to ask what use it can serve. God’s glory, from which all beauty derives, causes us to break out in astonishment and joy. Anyone who catches a glimpse of God experiences joy, and on this night we see something of his light. But the angels’ message on that holy night also spoke of men: "Peace among men with whom he is pleased". The Latin translation of the angels’ song that we use in the liturgy, taken from Saint Jerome, is slightly different: "peace to men of good will". The expression "men of good will" has become an important part of the Church’s vocabulary in recent decades. But which is the correct translation? We must read both texts together; only in this way do we truly understand the angels’ song. It would be a false interpretation to see this exclusively as the action of God, as if he had not called man to a free response of love. But it would be equally mistaken to adopt a moralizing interpretation as if man were so to speak able to redeem himself by his good will. Both elements belong together: grace and freedom, God’s prior love for us, without which we could not love him, and the response that he awaits from us, the response that he asks for so palpably through the birth of his son. We cannot divide up into independent entities the interplay of grace and freedom, or the interplay of call and response. The two are inseparably woven together. So this part of the angels’ message is both promise and call at the same time. God has anticipated us with the gift of his Son. God anticipates us again and again in unexpected ways. He does not cease to search for us, to raise us up as often as we might need. He does not abandon the lost sheep in the wilderness into which it had strayed. God does not allow himself to be confounded by our sin. Again and again he begins afresh with us. But he is still waiting for us to join him in love. He loves us, so that we too may become people who love, so that there may be peace on earth.
Saint Luke does not say that the angels sang. He states quite soberly: the heavenly host praised God and said: "Glory to God in the highest" (Lk 2:13f.). But men have always known that the speech of angels is different from human speech, and that above all on this night of joyful proclamation it was in song that they extolled God’s heavenly glory. So this angelic song has been recognized from the earliest days as music proceeding from God, indeed, as an invitation to join in the singing with hearts filled with joy at the fact that we are loved by God. Cantare amantis est, says Saint Augustine: singing belongs to one who loves. Thus, down the centuries, the angels’ song has again and again become a song of love and joy, a song of those who love. At this hour, full of thankfulness, we join in the singing of all the centuries, singing that unites heaven and earth, angels and men. Yes, indeed, we praise you for your glory. We praise you for your love. Grant that we may join with you in love more and more and thus become people of peace. Amen.

Merry Christmas From The Pro Life Corner

A holy day has dawned upon us.  Come, you nations, and adore the Lord.  For today a great light has come upon the earth.

As the final chapters of 2010 are being written and as we embark onto the new year with many opportunities and challenges to face, we know that God is able, and that with God, all things are possible. If you have labored this year against the culture of death, the graces of this Holy Season is most welcomed! Rather than focus on the chaos of the world, focus on how much God loves His people and how He showers us with His love and care, no matter if the entire world is falling apart. So, kickback, relax, breathe easy, and count the many ways that Heaven rejoices when God’s people are obedient!
All of us at the Pro Life Corner want to take this time to wish all of our readers a most Blessed Christmas and a joyous New Year.
As our special Christmas thought to you we present this video, from a time in our not so distant past, when God blessed us with a pro-life President; a man who was not ashamed to speak of his faith in God and his love of country.  We present this Christmas address to the nation from 12 23 1981.  Through the grace of God, may our nation once again turn back to the Judeo-Christian principles which made us one of the greatest countries on earth.
Merry Christmas.

Pro-death Forces Enlisted From Out Of Town

Out Of State Abortionists Combine With Out Of Town Abortion Supporters To Keep Rockford Abortion Mill In The Killing Business
When the Rockford abortionist, who was arrested for child porn, died of cancer in 2004 no Rockford doctor was willing to take over the Northern Illinois Women’s Center.

Late term abortionist Dennis Christensen from Wisconsin bought the abortion business which is located in a shabby, rundown building in Rockford.  It is to the credit of the physicians of Rockford that not one of them would take over the Rockford abortion mill and kill babies in the womb, even though a lot of "blood money" can be made in this evil business.
What we have also suspected about the few elderly abortion supporters who show up at the mill once in a while has been confirmed; they are from out of town also.  The information below is from a site operated by DuPage County NOW, a small pro-abortion group of 1970’s style bra burners.
Event: Show your pro-choice support Wednesday 12/29

Time: Wednesday, December 29 · 7:00am – 10:00am

Location: Northern Illinois Women’s Clinic 1400 Broadway Rockford, IL

Created By: DuPage County NOW, Colleen Irene Heflin

More Info: DuPage NOW and McHenry County Citizens for Choice are organizing
pro-choice supporters to be at the clinic in Rockford on 12/29 at 7am.
We ask that you participate if you have the time and please spread the word.

This summer, when these elderly radical feminists showed up at the Rockford mill, one of them was praying to her "goddess" while she was on the sidewalk in-front of the mill.  A few weeks ago one of these sad women stated she would have supported the killing of her own grandchildren by abortion.
Please pray that these sadly deluded women, who encourage and promote the deaths of children in the womb and thereby destroy the physical, mental, and spiritual heath of countless Rockford mothers, will have a change of heart.

A Pro-Lifer Asks Abortion Supporters Questions In Rockford

Thought For This Day 12 24 10

God Was Born As A Helpless Baby!

The all-powerful Creator of the world could not walk, talk, or roll over. The second Person of the blessed Trinity talked baby-talk, wet His diapers, and spit out His food. Almighty God weighed just a few pounds, shivered, cried, and nursed at His mother’s breast.
The message of Christmas and God’s incarnation is shocking. He Who created the billions of galaxies with billions of stars, Who created the countless creatures on this little planet, became completely dependent on His parents, just like us. It seems almost blasphemous to suggest that God became a weak human being.
Yet He did, out of love for us!

Without life nothing else matters

Our best wishes and prayers go out to all our pro-life friends.  Since 1989 we have been compiling these pro-life quotes and statistics in the hope of educating people on life issues.  As we go into our 36th year of decriminalized abortion, we note a slight decrease in surgical abortions.  That is giving us hope.  Contrary to how some politicians vote, we also see a majority of people in our nation consider themselves to be pro-life.  Now is not the time to slow down or sit back.  Now is our opportunity to further educate people.  With God’s mercy abortion can be a thing of the past.  We must continue to fast and pray for an end to this holocaust.

For extra copies of the Pro-Life Corner, contact us or go to our website for a free download.

January 2- We are all complicit, every one of us, in the sin of abortion.  Yesterday, 3,500 babies died, today, 3,500 babies will die and tomorrow 3,500 babies will die.  We need to wake up every day and ask what more can I do?  Not what can I do, but what more can I do to stop the killing?

January 9- We know that over 52 million babies have been brutally torn apart or burned alive in their mother’s womb as reported by the Center for Disease Control.  What we don’t know are the countless millions also aborted in the privacy of “doctors” offices and not reported, plus the greater number of babies aborted by chemical abortions, for example, RU486 and the “pill”, most of which are abortifacients.   Death stalks every child in the womb, up until the day of birth.  The unborn baby’s only defense is you

January 16- Pope John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI have stated numerous times that there is no greater work to be done than to defend innocent human life, and “woe to us if we fail”. Our future depends on it, the future of our nation depends on it, and the future of our souls could depend on it.

January 23- How can we honestly plead ignorance, when abortion has been the law of the land for 38 years?  How can we plead ignorance when we are living in the age of information?  Certainly if we were not aware of the gravity of abortion, we should know where to find the information, then pray and act upon it.

January 30- Is it right to make an extra effort to defend life during only one month while turning our backs for eleven long months on the little boys and girls who cannot defend themselves?  How do you suppose God must feel?  How sick and bizarre that animals, plants and mammals have more rights than baby humans.

February 6- Anyone caught brutalizing an animal the way a child is brutalized in an abortion, would certainly do jail time; yet this barbaric practice is considered “a right” or “a choice”.  We have ceased to be a civilized nation.  Pray and work to end abortion.

February 13- "Abraham Lincoln recognized that we could not survive as a free land when some men could decide that others were not fit to be free and should therefore be slaves. Likewise, we cannot survive as a free nation when some men decide that others are not fit to live and should be abandoned to abortion or infanticide” and euthanasia. Ronald Reagan

February 20- Black women are 3 times more likely to have an abortion than white women.  Most abortion mills are found in poor and/or minority neighborhoods.  What does that tell you about one of the reasons for abortion?  Perhaps it goes back to the Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger.  Her goal was to eliminate all poor, black, Hispanic, and many other ethnic people thereby creating a “master race”.  Abortion on demand is racist.

February 27- The blessing of one prayer affects an entire community, so also the evil of one sin affects an entire community.   When a city, state, or country promotes abortion, they bring a judgment onto themselves.  Abortion and euthanasia is bringing the worst judgment on America in our history.

March 6- God does not expect all of us to be rocket scientists or brain surgeons.  As Mother Theresa said, all that is expected of us is to be faithful, leaving the results to God.  The bottom line is, all you need to do is try.  Imagine the blessings that God would bestow on us if we surrender to His will.  Abortion and euthanasia is killing our nation; stop it before it kills you.

March 13- No matter how much one can recite the Bible, no matter if we tithe, no matter how often we pray, our faith is truly dead if we don’t put our faith into action.  Once a mother enters an abortuary, that child is lost forever. Join in the culture of life today.

March 20- Abortion is the killing of a human person.  Every single person aborted is a unique, full and equal human person in a different stage of their life; embryo, fetus, infant, toddler, teen, adult or senior citizen.  At every stage it is human life and must be defended.

March 27- There are positively no exceptions that justify abortion.  Abortion always ends the life of a human person; there is no truthful way to justify this homicidal act.  While there may be tragic circumstances that lead to the conception, this does not change the genetic makeup or value of that individual person in the womb.  Every child has a God given right to life.

April 3- Abortion is dangerous.  The abortion industry is one of the least regulated medical fields and usually attracts the least qualified doctors.  Women are often being taken from abortion killing centers in ambulances because of botched abortions and incompetent medical practices; many of them die. This fact is suppressed in the media.

April 10- Abortion is not just a political or moral issue.  Politics and morals are involved but the issue of abortion is also a simple matter of right and wrong, guided by natural law.  It is inherently wrong for one person to murder another person; therefore this inherent wrong also applies to decriminalized abortion.

April 17- What an irony it is that a society confronted with plastic bags filled with the remains of aborted babies should be more concerned about the problem of recycling the plastic.  Decriminalized abortion has cheapened the value of God-given human life.

April 24- Abortion and euthanasia are the most unjust, inhumane, heinous state sponsored forms of capital punishment ever inflicted upon humanity.  Ask yourself, what have I done today to stop these unjust acts?

May1- The five non-negotiables of the Church are:  Abortion, Euthanasia, Human Cloning, Embryonic Stem Cell Research, and Same Sex unions.  We must speak out against these injustices.

May 8-   We contend relentlessly for the dignity of the human person, of every human person, created in the image and likeness of God, destined from eternity for eternity, every human person, no matter how weak or how strong, no matter how young or how old, no matter how productive or how burdensome, no matter how welcome or how inconvenient.    All are wanted by God, and therefore to be respected, protected, and cherished by us.  Fr. Richard John Neuhaus

May 15- Have you ever heard of a murderer who was executed, whose limbs were torn off while still alive?  Of course not!  This is barbaric!  A decent society would never permit this.  But this is done in an abortion!  No mercy is shown the pre-born; in fact, abortion is the cruelest and most barbaric attack against humanity and it is committed over 3,500 times a day across this nation.

May 22- “The taking of innocent human life (by abortion) is so heinous, so horribly evil, and so absolutely opposite to the law of God that abortion must take precedence over every other issue.”  Bishop James Timlin

May 29- When we consider that women were treated as property, it is now more degrading to women that they should treat their children as property, to be disposed of by abortion.   What would the early feminists say today with women being used by men through abortion on demand?  The woman’s rights movement has gone in the opposite direction of what it promised.  Abortion enslaves women and liberates men.

June 5- Did you know:  The number of abortions per year worldwide is now 42 million?  Does that number even register to you?  Imagine, then a state with the population of California, being destroyed each and every year.  Abortion is destroying our future.

June 12- Some facts and figures to ponder:  52% of women who have abortions in the US are younger than 25.  Teenagers have 20% of the abortions and now for a shocker-girls under 15 accounts for 1.2% of abortions.  Under 15years of age?  That constitutes child abuse and statutory rape.  Are these crimes being reported by the abortion facility?  The answer is no.

June 19- How can one claim that saving babies is a “single issue”, that there are more important causes to defend?  What might they be?  The economy, environment, the war, education, etc?  What could ever take precedence over 3,500 lives being brutally snuffed out every day by abortion?

June 26- Here’s a shocking statistic- 68.7% of women who have abortions consider themselves Christians!  What is happening in our churches that these women believe they can have an abortion and still consider themselves good Christians?  If more churches would preach all of God’s word, women and men would choose life.

July 3- “The first priority, the fundamental priority of the common good is protecting and supporting human life for without life, there is no common good”  Bishop Arthur J. Serratelli  How can our Declaration state that all have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness when the state sponsors the killing of the unborn?

July 10- Let me tell you why I believe abortion is the crucial issue of our age. First, because abortion, too, is about living within the truth. The right to life is the foundation of every other human right. If that right is not inviolate, then no right can be guaranteed. Or to put it more bluntly: Homicide is homicide, no matter how small the victim."
Archbishop Charles Chaput

July 17-"The care of human life and happiness and not their destruction is the first and only legitimate object of good government." Thomas Jefferson   What has happened to our nation that we can promote the destruction of over 52,000,000 unborn babies due to surgical abortion?

July 24- "Connected with our prayer must be the thoughtful and faithful reflection upon the Church’s teaching on the respect for all human life and the integrity of the family. In our homes, in our Catholic (and Christian) schools and universities, in parish study groups, and in everyday conversations and discussions with our neighbors, we are called to give an uncompromising witness to the Gospel of Life.  Cardinal Raymond Burke

July 31- “We tried to avoid the women seeing the fetus.  They always wanted to know the sex, but we lied and said it was too early to tell.  It’s better for the women to think of the fetus as an it”.  (Words of an abortion clinic worker) The lies go on.

August 7- “God’s love does not distinguish between the infant in the mother’s womb or the child or the youth or the adult or the older person. In each one God sees His image and likeness. Human life is a manifestation of God and His glory.” Pope Benedict XVI

August 14- “Even though our counselors see six week babies daily, with arms, legs, and eyes that are closed like newborn puppies, they lie to the women.  How many women would have an abortion, if they were told the truth?”  Carol Everett, former abortion clinic owner

August 21- Day after day, we have to each resolve to pray more, fast more, say more, do more, boycott more and witness more in our fight to save the unborn from abortion, and the sick and the elderly from euthanasia. With God’s help we will win this battle.  Rejoice. We’re on His side.

August 28- "Instead of being a giant step forward for women’s rights, decriminalized abortion is the most destructive manifestation of discrimination against women today.  The abortion mentality is sexism incarnate." — Nancyjo Mann, founder of Women Exploited By Abortion

September 4- Before we succumb to the ethic of researchers who brazenly create, manipulate and destroy embryonic human lives, the American public should reflect with awe on the miraculous process by which one-celled human embryos become doctors, teachers, firefighters, and members of Congress.   Life must be protected at all stages.

September 11- “If you choose to destroy:  the children born or unborn, you destroy love and the future; the sick or disabled, you destroy compassion; the elderly, you destroy wisdom, respect and the past.  Can we really do without these?    Have you never been young, sick or injured?     Will you never be old in someone’s eyes? Therefore, do unto others as you wish to have done to you.” — Anne Bauer, M.D.

September 18- Planned Parenthood grossed over $1 BILLION in its last fiscal year… Why do they need $360,000,000 of our taxpayer dollars to conduct their filthy business?  They don’t!  This immoral funding should stop immediately.

September 25- Ex-abortionist Dr. Randall said:  “They (the women who were going to have an abortion)  are never allowed to look at the ultrasound because we knew that if they so much as heard the heart beat, they wouldn’t want to have an abortion”.

October 2- Stop for a moment and think seriously about the fact that 3,500 boys and girls, everyone of them lovingly created by God will be brutally killed each and every day of the year; not just in October, not just for a week, not just for a day, not just on Respect Life Sunday, not just during 40 Days for Life, but we must work every day to stop the killing.

October 9- “The real question today is not when human life begins, but, what is the value of human life? The abortionist who reassembles the arms and legs of a tiny baby to make sure all its parts have been torn from its mother’s body can hardly doubt whether it is a human being. The real question for him and for all of us is whether that tiny human life has a God-given right to be protected by the law— the same right we have.” -Ronald Reagan

October 16- "Abortion kills not only unborn children; it destroys constitutional order and the common good, which is assured only when the life of every human being is legally protected. Aggressively pro-abortion policies, legislation and executive orders will permanently alienate tens of millions of Americans, and would be seen by many as an attack on the free exercise of their religion.”  And civil rights.  Cardinal Francis George

October 23- A statement from ex-abortionist Dr. Bernard Nathanson,: "We fed the public a line of deceit, dishonesty, a fabrication of statistics and figures. We sensationalized the effects of illegal abortions, and fabricated polls which indicated that 85 percent of the public favored unrestricted abortion, when we knew it was only 5 percent. We unashamedly lied, and yet our statements were quoted [by the media] as though they had been written in law."

October 30- Kathy Ireland defended babies in the womb by saying: "I was once pro-choice and the thing that changed my mind was, I read biology books, medical books, and what I learned . . . At the moment of conception, a life starts. And this life has its own unique set of DNA, which contains a blueprint for the whole genetic makeup. The sex is determined. We know there’s a life because it’s growing and changing."

November 6- We are in a war to save the unborn babies.  Often it seems we are losing one battle after another; should we surrender?  Absolutely not!  We are commanded to be the salt of the earth, and to put our light on the lamp stand, until God returns.  We have to hold the ground because every life is important to God and to our nation’s future.

November 13- Under the law, if you are an accessory to a crime, you are guilty of the crime.  If you vote for politicians who advocate, promote and prolong abortion, you are an accessory to the decriminalized murder of millions of innocent babies. It is no longer just a hired and heartless abortionist who kills, but our hands too.  If we vote for pro-abortion candidates, the blood of innocent lives is on our hands, as well.

November 20- The National Vietnam Memorial in Washington DC is a shiny black wall that stretches 492 feet and lists the names of the 58,022 known Americans killed in that war. If such a wall listed the names of the 52,000,000 babies who were  killed by abortion since 1973, the wall would be 83 miles long! The casualties of our wars put together are fewer than the casualties from abortion in a single year.

November 27- Medical research has shown that when an 8 week old human baby is pricked in the palm of his hand by a needle, he opens his mouth and pulls his hand away.  There is also an increase in heart rate as a result.  This shows that an 8 week old baby in utero can feel pain. Why do we allow this barbaric torture of human life by abortion?

December 4- “There is no difference between a first, second or third trimester abortion or infanticide.  It’s all the same human being in different stages of development.  I finally got to the point I couldn’t look at those little bodies anymore.”  Dr. Arnold Halpern, ex-abortionist

December 11- The Alan Guttmacher Institute, which favors abortion on demand, indicates that "about 14,000 women have abortions each year because they became pregnant after rape or incest." At the same time, it indicates that in 1996, 1.37 million abortions took place. In other words, some 99% of all the abortions that occur have nothing to do with rape or incest, according to "pro-choice" sources.

December 18- Worldwide, over 42 million babies are killed each year.  Our God is a merciful God but He is also a just God.  The world says no to God’s gift of life over 42 million times a year.  It’s no surprise that God is holding back His blessings to a murderous world.

December 25- "The mystery of the Incarnation reveals the specific value of the dignity of human life. God gave us this gift and sanctified it when the Son became man and was born of Mary. Life is a gift that must be protected, from conception until natural death. With all my heart I join people involved in various initiatives aimed at respecting life and promoting a new social awareness."  Pope Benedict XVI.   Choose the culture of life.
