Thought For This Day 12 23 2010

What if.. The secular world would like to take all the profits of Christmas without the spiritual. So what if all that we celebrate as Christmas was taken away? What would we celebrate?

What if there were no;
•     Baby Jesus- no baby in the manger
•     No Christmas Mass or Christmas Service
•     No Christmas carols and no nativity scenes
•     No Christmas gathering and celebrations
•     No Christmas giving and Christmas charities
•     No Christmas cards or Christmas greetings
•     No Christmas trees, Christmas lights or Christmas wreaths
•     No St. Nicholas or Santa Claus
•     No Christmas joy or Christmas cheer
More importantly, what if there was no Savior, no salvation, and no eternity? We would be no different than the animals!
According to a legend, Satan and his demons were having a Christmas party. As the demonic guests were departing, one grinned and said to Satan, "Merry Christmas your majesty". At that, Satan replied with a growl, "Yes, keep it merry. If they ever get serious about it, we’ll all be in trouble".
And so it is this Christmas season. If all we engage in is gift exchanges to most who have no need, sending out "neutral" Christmas cards that have no meaning, shopping at stores that intentionally deny the real reason for the season, partying with friends and co-workers who have long forgotten what they are celebrating, and eating and drinking ourselves into obesity while millions starve, then we are no different from our secular brothers and sisters.
We would have missed the greatest event in the history of creation, the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ! This Christmas, make a conscious effort in keeping Christ in Christmas, and give to those in need, rather than those who give. Insist on Christmas, not Season’s Greetings or Happy Holidays!

Rockford Life Initiative 12 22 2010

An estimated 29 babies died at NIWC this past week.  There was one save;    No Room At The Inn (for baby Jesus or children in the womb) In Rockford This Christmas;      No True Choice Allowed At N.I.W.C. / Rockford’s Abortion Mill;         Rockford Pro-Life Hero Enters Eternity;     A Tribute To Helen Doyle, Pro Life Advocate;     THE PRO-LIFE CORNER 2011 IS READY……

On Friday December 17 an estimated fourteen babies died in Rockford’s abortion mill.  The pure evil of the culture of death could be clearly seen at the mill this morning as the first car to pull into the parking lot was from out of state and driven by a man.  In the passenger seat was a very young girl who could barley see over the dashboard.
She looked about 12 years old and was in tears.
The man got out of the car, but the young girl seemed as if she did not want to move.  He finally got her out of the car, and she was carrying a tiny pink book bag and was wearing pink pajama pants with cartoon characters on them.  This child was still in tears.
Our society is filled with pedophiles because abortion mills like the one in Rockford protect, defend, and make it possible for men to prey on young girls like this and not get caught because the child who is conceived is murdered and then thrown away.
Men who prey on young girls have had nothing to fear at the Rockford abortion mill for over 25 years because we have never heard of one case of statutory rape being reported by the Northern Illinois Women’s Center.
The abortionist and Wayne Webster will make their money.  The man who impregnated this child will get away free, and this young girl will have a lifetime before her, filled with emotional, psychological, and physical complications because of the culture of death and the butchers in Rockford.
On Wednesday December 22, an estimated fifteen babies died inside the Rockford mill.

Herod, Shepherd's, and Magi at Rockford's Abortion Mill

Rockford IL, December 22, 2010 – The contrast could not have been clearer; the abortion mill landlord threatening a scared young mother with arrest if she didn’t stop talking to pro-life sidewalk counselors, and fifty pro-lifers faithfully worshiping God with beautiful Christmas carols. Christians from throughout Rockford came to the Rockford abortion mill to pray and sing for Christ and life a few days before Christmas

This seemed to have infuriated the abortion mill landlord, Wayne Webster, when he saw pro-life sidewalk counselors trying to help a scared young mother.  In what appeared to be the act of a modern day Herod – Webster charged across the parking-lot and angrily threatened the young woman who was considering choosing life.  The scared mother then went into the abortion mill and did not come out for hours.
The bitter abortion mill landlord then went on a malevolent rant about pro-lifers and Catholics.
"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men."  Luke 2:14
Thankfully, through the grace of God, the Christmas caroling this morning may have touched one young girl’s heart as she chose life and left the abortion mill well before late term abortionist Dennis Christensen arrived.
This young mother and her child will have a Merry Christmas this year and many more to come.

Empty Manger Caroling Reminder

A reminder ….Dec 22 2010,    Wednesday, Dec 22 at 730AM,  Christians will join together to pray and sing Christmas carols at the abortuary (10th&Broadway)    for the annual "Empty Manger Caroling",… an  empty manger,…. thanks to  Rockford’s infamous abortuary… which is ranked as one of the nation’s most grotesque…where ever effort  is made to keep mothers from  making a "choice" for life.

  Rockford where there is no room for a mother to avail herself and her child to see that IT, is NOT an IT,  but  IS  a child and to Choose Life…and the Pontus Pilates,  in the persons of  the local Rockford procurators,  who  will make no concession which foster life., but simply wash their hands and deny the child a chance for life which the Declaration  declares is an inalienable right..  There will be a brighter  tomorrow.
Empty Manger Caroling At Rockford’s Abortion Mill
Bringing Hope to a Place of Despair
On Wednesday December 22, at 7:30am Christians will join together to pray and sing Christmas carols at Rockford’s abortion facility.  It is our hope that as we sing beautiful carols celebrating the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ it will touch the hearts of mothers scheduled for abortion at the Northern Illinois Woman’s Center this morning.
Our prayers and carols at the Rockford abortion mill on this day will be a special gift of love from the Rockford Christian community to our Lord and Savior who once was a child in the womb Himself, then was born into human history to save us from sin and death.  We will also be present as a witness of love for any child who will die inside of the abortion mill this morning or throughout the year.
In the past two years as Christians prayed and sang Christmas Carols at the Rockford abortion mill four mothers have chosen life for their babies.

Thought For This Day 12 22 2010

In A Moment-I Knew!  "In that moment, I knew that I had been recruited to the cause of the culture of life. To be recruited to the cause of the culture of life is to be recruited for the duration; and there is no end in sight, except to the eyes of faith. Perhaps you, too, can specify such a moment when you knew you were recruited. At that moment you could have said, "Yes, it’s terrible that in this country alone 3,500 innocent children are killed every day, but then so many terrible things are happening in the world.

Am I my infant brother’s keeper? Am I my infant sister’s keeper?" You could have said that, but you didn’t. You could have said, "Yes, the nation that I love is betraying its founding principles-that every human being is endowed by God with inalienable rights, including, and most foundationally, the right to life." But, you could have said, "the Supreme Court has spoken and its word is the law of the land. What can I do about it?" You could have said that, but you didn’t. That horror, that betrayal, would not let you go. You knew, you knew there and then, that you were recruited to contend for the culture of life, and that you were recruited for the duration."
"We shall not weary, we shall not rest, until every pre-born child is protected in law and welcomed in life.
We shall not weary, we shall not rest, until all the elderly who have run life’s course are protected against despair and abandonment, protected by the rule of law and the bonds of love.
We shall not weary, we shall not rest, until every young woman is given the help she needs to recognize the problem of pregnancy as the gift of life.
We shall not weary, we shall not rest, as we stand guard at the entrance gates and the exit gates of life, and at every step along the way of life, bearing witness in word and deed to the dignity of the human person-of every human person."
Late Fr. Richard Neuhaus

Thought For This Day 12 21 2010

Aborting The Future    "Pharaoh then commanded all his subjects, ‘Throw into the river every boy that is born to the Hebrews, but you may let all the girls live.’ " Ex. 1:22…..

Today many babies are aborted just because they’re girls, or black, or handicapped, or whatever might be the abiding prejudice of the moment. In the days when the Israelites were in Egypt, the government decreed that baby boys were to be thrown into the river. Moses’ mother disobeyed this unjust law, and through a series of miracles her son became the leader that would set the nation free from slavery. Could it be that babies saved from abortion today will grow up to be among the greatest leaders in human history?
When we save a baby’s life by praying in front of an abortion chamber, we may be saving the life of a new Moses and thereby saving the lives of millions. We may be saving the lives of a whole nation. The Lord promised a reward to those who give a cup of cold water to a lowly one [St. Mathew 10:42]. How much greater is the reward for those who save the lives of the lowly ones in the womb? Moses’ mother, Jochebed (Nm 26:59), is one of the most important people in history because she resisted an unjust law that condemned her baby to death. Jesus said, "Go and do likewise". [St. Luke 10:37]

Thoughts For This Day 12 20 10

What Does God See, When He Looks Into Your Heart?
More than a century ago, Abraham Lincoln made the famous observation, "You can fool all of the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you can never fool all the people all the time. "  Quite so, yet a lot of our politicians keep trying!

For us, an important corollary of this is that you can’t fool God — ever — not even for an instant! Yet it seems that we keep trying. Jesus shows us once again His ability to read people’s hearts. It was the source of one of the great and continuing sadnesses of His life: He could see the envy and hatred that so many people harbored against Him, and for no reason.
What does the Lord see when He reads our hearts? Without doubt He sees our goodness — which we ourselves so often fail to see and trust — and He sees our desire to be true and to do the deeds of love. But there’s another part of us that He sees as well, our sins and failures, of course, but also those locked rooms whose doors we refuse to even open.
If the Lord sees what is in us and does not reject us, why should we fear to enter those darkened rooms and to see those parts of ourselves that we fear and shudder to face? The answer is that we shouldn’t, for, as the prayer says, "Lord, there is nothing that You and I can’t handle together!" Remember that, trust Him, and open those doors now!

God See Everything!
Can anyone hide himself from the Lord in secret places? Can I, under any circumstances, escape His notice? Impossible! The eye of God has been fixed upon me every second of this day; it is now at this moment fixed fully upon me. But it is my Father’s eye! My Father sees in secret!
He sees my needs—and my woes. He sees every secret working of my foes—and will save me from them. He sees every secret influence which is likely to injure me—and will prevent it.
He sees the secret workings of my heart, my hidden thoughts, my unuttered desires, my soul conflicts, my private temptations.
But He sees also my secret sins! Every evil thought, every improper action, every unfitting word— passes under His eye! Solemn consideration this!
May it make me cautious. May it preserve me. . . from yielding to temptation, from nourishing sinful thoughts, and from acting inconsistent with my profession. My heavenly Father sees me!
He sees me at this moment! He sees me every moment! He sees my most secret motives, thoughts, and purposes! He who thus sees me—hates every sin with an infinite hatred!

Come Unto Me
"Come unto Me." St. Matthew 11:28
Jesus calls you to His throne of grace. He is there waiting to hear, relieve and bless you. |    You are to go to Him just as you are–and receive from Him all you need.
He will give you:    Wisdom–to direct your steps;    Peace–to keep your hearts;   Strength-to do His will;    Righteousness-to justify your souls; and    Rest-unspeakably sweet.
He is glorified in bestowing these blessings upon you. He calls you this morning, this moment—to receive all you need—without money and without price. What a precious Savior is Jesus! What a kind and tender Friend!
"Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need." Hebrews 4:16 "Come!" He says, "Come to Me! Do not go to SELF, to the world, to the empty cisterns which creatures idolize; but come unto Me, and I will do immeasurably more than all you can ask or imagine!
    Your sins-I will pardon;
    Your graces—I will revive;
    Your comforts-I will restore;
    Your holiness-I will increase;
    Your efforts to glorify Me-I will crown with success;
    I will bless you-and you shall be a blessing!"

Who Defines Marriage?
This next year has been named a year for marriages by the diocese. As we come closer to Christmas we see the importance of families. Unfortunately families have been under attack lately with our politicians. In a recent letter Bishop Doran said that anybody can enter into marriage, but nobody has the right to redefine marriage. It seems that they think marriage is merely a human institution which human beings concocted because of one need or another. We therefore have a mere practical view of marriage. We seem to think we made it, therefore we can define it.

People who invent things have a right to name the thing they invent; a car, skateboard, pencil and so on. Those who discover things do not have as much liberty but they do have the power to give what they discover a name. Usually they give it a Latin or Greek name signifying the nature; like a virus or some animal. In marriage, neither of these took place. Marriage was given by God; "Be fertile and multiply". God invented marriage. So He gets to name it and tell us its nature.
How does God define marriage? Marriage is a bond of love between one man and one woman who have the ability to give their consent of love to each other. Great. So what is love? We seem to think we know what love is. But as it is evident today, we obviously don’t know what it is to love each other. We come so short so often. With divorce, remarriage and delinquent parents, we hardly have an idea of what the commitment of marriage and the love it professes. Our modern culture reduces love to an emotion. Emotions are a part of love, but to define love merely as an emotion is to cheapen it and your marriage. What do you do when the emotion is gone? What if you get in an argument? What if you get the same emotion when somebody else comes along? But isn’t love supposed to last? Yes, it is. that is why love is an act of the will. We choose to love even when our emotions may say the opposite. Our daily giving up of our will for the good of the other is what makes love last. If we lower the standards of love by designating it only as an emotion, it would be no wonder why we do not trust in Jesus, for God is love. If that is all love is, would Christ have died on the cross for us? What would that say about our relationship with God? What would that say about our relationship with others?
Bottom line, in order to make our marriages better, we need to listen to the one who has the blueprints to marriage and our souls. He knows us and wants the best for us. Aren’t our marriages suffering enough? Shouldn’t we look to the expert (God) on marriages and love?

No Room At Rockford’s Inn.

 Updated 12 20 2010 No Room At The Inn (for baby Jesus or children in the womb) In Rockford This Christmas
On Monday December 13, 2010, The Rockford city council voted against a permit for a safe parking place for the mobile ultra-sound motor-home. Even aldermen, who have claimed in the past to be pro-life, took their lead from and backed Wayne Webster’s voice on the city council, Alderman Karen Elyea.

A parking permit is needed because Wayne Webster has been surrounding the abortion mill with used cars to block the mobile ultrasound from being seen from the mill parking lot.  Each of the two weeks the motor-home was able to park close to the mill a child’s life was saved.  A baby getting away alive from this mill is unacceptable to those who make money off the killing of babies.
The Rockford city council has shown a heartless, arrogant, and callous indifference to the killing of innocent children by refusing a permit that would have allowed the mobile ultrasound a safe and secure parking place to help mothers in need.  This was an especially callous way to sentence children in the womb to death a few weeks before we celebrate Christmas.
Please Note!   Thankfully one Alderman, Frank Beach, has been a voice of reason and compassion for mothers and unborn children on the city council.  Much as St. Joseph was a guardian for Jesus and Mary when there was no room for them at the Inn Bethlehem, Alderman Beach has always done everything in his power to ensure unborn children are welcomed into our human family in Rockford.

Rockford has many modern day Herod’s.
We saw on Monday Nov. 22 at a city council meeting, the lack of concern for children in the womb of some Rockford city leaders when Alderman Venita Hervey, sitting a few feet in front of pro-lifers threw in the garbage, without even looking through, the information the pro-lifers had given to her about the parking permit.

 The fact we must face is, this is a life and death battle between what St. Augustine called the "city of God" and the "city of man."  We have seen once again in the city of Rockford that abortion is lord and king and there is no room at the Rockford "Inn" for children in the womb even at Christmas.
But we all know in the end it is only the "city of God" that will last.  They can continue to block the life saving mobile ultrasound but nothing will block pro-life Christians from trying to help mothers in need and nothing will stop the love of Jesus Christ for all of His children – including the unborn of Rockford.
