Without life nothing else matters

Our best wishes and prayers go out to all our pro-life friends.  Since 1989 we have been compiling these pro-life quotes and statistics in the hope of educating people on life issues.  As we go into our 36th year of decriminalized abortion, we note a slight decrease in surgical abortions.  That is giving us hope.  Contrary to how some politicians vote, we also see a majority of people in our nation consider themselves to be pro-life.  Now is not the time to slow down or sit back.  Now is our opportunity to further educate people.  With God’s mercy abortion can be a thing of the past.  We must continue to fast and pray for an end to this holocaust.

January 3- Albert Einstein defined insanity as doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.  Every day we, as a nation, allow and promote the killing of 3,600 babies, 1.3 million every year, 52 million since 1973.  Now they are coming for the elderly and infirm.  The culture of death truly is insanity.

January 10- Since the legalization of abortion in 1973, we have entered a second Dark Age where human life counts for little.  We find ourselves allowing our unwanted babies to be killed; and now the elderly, the handicapped, and the terminally ill are all at risk.  We are rushing down the slippery slope to killing at any stage of life.

January 17- One dark day in January of 1973, Satan donned judicial robes.  Robes flowing, gavel in hand he swept onto the floor of the United States Supreme Court to preside over the most atrocious travesty of justice that ever took place, and he declared we now have the right to murder the most innocent in what should be the safest place in the universe for them.  Since then, tens of millions of babies have been assassinated in their own mother’s wombs.  Fr. John Corapi

January 24- What is the true governing force behind the abortion industry?  Is it compassion for the woman?  The right to choose?   NO!   It’s MONEY!  This is from a former abortionist who says abortion is the largest unregulated industry in the nation, and is a very lucrative one at that.  Abortion is a contract killing in every sense of the word.

January 31- Since 1973 the number of doctors willing to perform abortions has decreased.  Why?  To an idealistic young doctor, abortion has little appeal.  It’s fundamentally a destructive operation offering little professional challenge and no ongoing doctor-patient relationship.  And in addition, other doctors hold abortion providers in low esteem.  There is hope.  Pray to end abortion.

February 7- Abraham Lincoln said that the Civil War was a Divine punishment for the sin of slavery.  What calamity will befall our nation if we continue to turn away as pre-born and partially born babies are slaughtered?  Not only have we been deaf to the cries of the pre-born, some have actually aided their oppressors by our political support of pro-abortion politicians.

February 14- “The real question today is not when human life begins, but, what is the value of human life?  The abortionist who reassembles the arms and legs of a tiny baby to make sure all its parts have been torn from its mother’s body can hardly doubt whether it is a human being.  The real question for him and for all of us is whether that tiny human life has a God-given right to be protected by the law, the same right we have.”  Ronald Reagan

February 21- In 1973 the Supreme Court erroneously created a law that made abortion a woman’s “right”.  In the words of Abraham Lincoln, “We never have the right to do wrong.”  Abortion is the ultimate wrong.

February 28- Slavery is repulsive because it treats human beings as property to be disposed of at the will of another.  It was morally absurd in the 1800’s to say:  “I am personally opposed to owning slaves and would never own any myself, but I can’t force my moral views on others.”  Today people use the same argument regarding abortion.  Slavery was wrong then and abortion is wrong now.

March 7- What is better for a woman to remember:  I gave my baby life, and because I loved him I gave him into the arms of a loving couple?  Or to remember, I ended my baby’s life by abortion.  Choose life.

March 14- “My mother did not want a seventh child, so she decided to get rid of me before I was born.  Then a marvelous thing happened.  My aunt dissuaded her, and so I was permitted to be born.  Think of it, I was a miracle.”  Arthur Rubenstein

March 21- What is abortion?  Abortion is a mother killing her child, a doctor killing his patient, a world turning its back.

March 28-Fetus is a Latin term for a baby in the womb…This word “fetus” only defines the level of maturation and the location of the baby.  The average male will go through the following stages in his life:  baby in the womb, baby outside the womb, toddler, little boy, boy, teenager, adult, father, grandfather, dead man.  Why is only one stage described in Latin?  Because it makes the baby seem less human!

April 4- In our nation alone, over 1,300,000 babies are killed every year and we remain silent.  Why?  Why should a death from abortion be less of a disaster than a death from a hurricane or earthquake?  Each abortion costs one human life.  The unborn child is not a “potential human being” but is a “human being with potential”.

April 11- “We cannot diminish the value of one category of human life-the unborn-without diminishing the value of all human life…there is no cause more important.”  Promote the culture of life; our future depends on it.  Ronald Reagan

April 18- Even though a child resides in the mother’s womb for nine months, the unborn child is a genetically unique and biologically separate individual.  Why should it be “legal” to kill that baby?  Do your part to help stop abortion now.

April 25- Do you believe in God, accountability, judgment?  Make no mistake, we are going to be held accountable for all the innocent blood being shed when we could have stopped the killing by our prayers, fasting, actions and how we vote and hold our public servants accountable.

May 2- If there was a surgical procedure in America in which 99.99% of the time the patient died, that procedure would be outlawed.  There is such a procedure!  It’s called abortion; the baby always dies and the mother is left wounded.  Pray and work to end abortion.

May 9- To be pro-life demands that we assist women who have had abortions to find God’s forgiveness, healing, and peace.  If the pro-life movement is not a movement of love, it is nothing at all.  But if it is a movement of love, then nothing will stop it, for “love is more powerful than death.”

May 16- Is God the Creator of all life?  As Christians we believe this to be true.  Then as believers, we can never accept abortion under any circumstances.  To do so is a direct assault on the will of God.  Pray and work to end abortion.

May 23- No unborn baby is unwanted.  God, who willed to give them life, wants them and He has a plan for them.  They are also wanted by thousands of couples longing to adopt.  Think adoption, not abortion.

May 30- WAR!  World War I cost 116,708 American lives.  World War II cost 407,316 lives.  The Korean War cost 54,246 lives.  The Vietnam War cost 58,655 lives.  In America, the war against the unborn (abortion) has already cost more than 52,000,000 lives and the casualties are adding up every day.  How many more must die in this unjust war?

June 6- Are you well informed about abortion, partial birth abortion, and euthanasia?  Knowledge is power; power to change our world.  Help spread the truth.  Do your part.  God is counting on you to be His instrument.  It’s never the wrong time to do the right thing.  Join pro-life today.

June 13- Jesus commanded His church to go out into the world and preach the good news.  We have to engage the culture of death out in the streets.  It’s where the battle rages, not in the safety and comfort of our air conditioned homes; 3,600 babies die every day to surgical abortion.  We must not stop until abortion is stopped.

June 20- “As believers in God, how can we fail to see that abortion, euthanasia and assisted suicide are a terrible rejection of His gift of life and love?  And as believers, how can we fail to feel the duty to surround the sick and those in distress with the warmth of our affection and support that will help them always to embrace life?”  Pope John Paul II

June 27- Please take time to study abortion and its effect on women, men and on our country.  You’ll be stunned at what you’ll find:  Post-Abortion Syndrome, suicide, physical injury, and a whopping 500% increase in child abuse are the results of abortion.  Let’s help women who have unplanned pregnancies to bring their baby to term instead of having an abortion.

July 4- In a nation where we talk of concern for our children’s health and safety, their education, keeping them drug free and protecting them from predators of all types, there is a terrible dark side to our society that tells a mother that it’s OK to kill her baby by abortion if she chooses.  Let us pray that through God’s grace the blight of abortion will soon pass away into history, like slavery and other sins of our past.

July 11- We Christians fight hunger, homelessness, poverty, racism and diseases on a daily basis, yet every day 3,600 babies die from surgical abortion.  In many churches the faith community might get a pro-life sermon on Respect Life Sunday only.  Like hunger, abortion must be fought every day.  Join pro-life today.

July 18- We will not win the abortion debate until we finally unmask “pro-choice”.  Every day we see what pro-choice really means!  The whole concept is rooted in deception, greed, selfishness, and horrendous violence against both women and unborn babies.  As time passes, we find nothing but death and destruction in its wake.  Choose life.

July 25- These little pro-life thoughts usually are kept to about 70 words or less.  An average time to read them and think about their message takes about one minute.  During that one minute, over two more babies have been killed from abortions.  One baby dies every 24 seconds in the USA from surgical abortion.  Please join the pro-life movement and pray and work to end abortion.

August 1- In our country there are living beings who are being used for experiments, poisoned, dismembered, who experience excruciating pain, and are being dumped in the trash like garbage.  It shouldn’t happen to a dog, but it does happen to pre-born babies.  Abortion is a brutal form of terrorism against the unborn.

August 8- The average surgical abortion rate in the US was 1,500,000 each year.  We are starting to see a decline in this number.  Don’t be deceived; some experts believe this decline is due to abortifacient type pills and the more recent RU 486.  The babies are still dying.  The only thing different is the instrument of death.

August 15- Abortion is a lose, lose situation.  The baby loses its life through a violent death.  The mother loses, knowing for the rest of her life that she killed her child.  A prospective adopting couple loses by not fulfilling their dream of raising a child in a loving way.  Adoption is an option in which no one loses.

August 22- Euthanasia:  When we think of extraordinary means of life support, we picture mechanical devices, tubes, etc.  Be careful!  Get clarification, for the sake of a loved one.  In some circles today pulling life support can also mean depriving the patient of food and water.

August 29- If the public were allowed to see an abortion, this atrocity would be stopped immediately. We must shed the light of truth on this violence against the unborn.

September 5- What if the 6 o’clock news told you ten jumbo jets went down, each with 360 passengers; 3,600 people perished.  Now what if that became so common that this event would happen every day for the rest of your life?  Does that sound preposterous?  That’s how many babies die every day in America due to surgical abortion.

September 12- Look around you:  See a policeman, a fireman, a doctor, someone who has given a life saving service to you or a loved one.  Now think- what if, at the time of his or her birth, their mother had said yes to abortion?  How empty would your life be?  Every abortion affects not only the “now” but also the future.

September 19- Some people beyond childbearing age say:  “Abortion is not my problem; I’m too old for that!”  They may be too old to get pregnant, but they are never too old to be concerned about abortion.  By our active concern, any one of us can save the life of a baby scheduled to die.  To try to save our youngest brothers and sisters is an expression of love.  We are never too old to love.

September 26- “Unwanted” is not a quality of a baby; it is an attitude of the parents.  Babies should not be killed because of their parent’s problems.  Through pregnancy centers and various social services, help is available.  Over one million couples are waiting to adopt a child.  Choose adoption, not abortion!

October 3- The television media will show the atrocities of war, violent shows, and slasher movies but we never see an abortion procedure exposed.  They say that’s too violent to be seen.  If indeed we have a free press, why not present the facts and allow people to decide?  Abortion is the killing of a baby.  You won’t hear that from the mainstream media.  It’s up to us to get the truth out.

October 10- The number one cause of death in America also happens to be one of the most common surgical procedures.  It is abortion.  This procedure is performed in clinics that have fewer regulations than veterinary clinics.  Why are we more concerned with animal rights than human rights?

October 17- Why is our culture of death afraid to talk about death?  Many people like to watch slasher movies, video games and movies that promote violence, but talk about the death of a baby through abortion and people are shocked!  They say that’s violent, I don’t care to hear about it.  As a nation we are sticking our head in the sands of apathy.  Please, God, motivate us to speak out for your unborn babies.

October 24- Abortion is the most unregulated industry in America...  Veterinary clinics and hair salons have more regulations than most abortion clinics.  More and more cases are coming forward of deceptive practices, manipulative pressures, unsanitary conditions, injuries, and maternal deaths in abortion clinics.  Speak out and stop this hideous assault against women and their babies.

October 31- Think about this:  The eyes that read the Bible are the same eyes that read the ballots.  The hands that pray to God are the same hands that push the lever.  Under law, if a person is an accessory to a crime, they are guilty of the crime.  If we vote for politicians who promote abortion are we an accessory to the killing of millions of unborn babies?

November 7- Concerning abortion, we are at war; like it or not, believe it or not, we are at war and casualties are everywhere.  It’s a frightful battle that can be won and our weapon of choice is prayer.  May God deliver us from this war on our unborn.  Father John Corapi

November 14- Abortion is the most selfish and abhorrent crime committed by man for two reasons; its victims are so innocent and defenseless, and the crime is so terribly brutal.  In abortion, man sets himself up as God to decide who shall live and who shall die.  But man deserves no such power, for the simple reason that man does not create himself.  To think otherwise is to deny God His true Being as the Author of Life.”  Fr. Paul Marx

November 21- Abortion kills the body of the victim and the soul of the killer, but not the soul of the baby.  That soul will live forever in God’s love.  The crime of abortion is always a chain sin.  A number of people share the guilt:  abortionist, assistants, office staff, hospital management, abortion building owners, pro-abortion politicians, and those of us who remain passive when we should be speaking out and praying to end abortion.

November 28- “Like an animal caught in a trap, trying to gnaw off its own leg, a woman who seeks abortion is trying to escape a desperate situation by an act of violence and self-loss.  Abortion is not a sign that women are free, but a sign that they are desperate.”  “The answer to a crisis pregnancy is to eliminate the crisis, not the child.”

December 5- The attack on Pearl Harbor is often referred to as a “Day of Infamy”.  The terrorism attack on 9-11-01 is also referred to as a day of infamy.  The worst day of infamy was January 22, 1973.  Since the infamous Roe v Wade decision over 52,000,000 babies have died from surgical abortions and the numbers increase every day.  This is truly our nation’s most sorrowful day of infamy.

December 12- “God’s love does not distinguish between the infant in the mother’s womb or the child or the youth or the adult or the older person.  In each one God sees His image and likeness.  Human life is a manifestation of God and His glory.”  Pope Benedict XVI

December 19- Herod massacred the Holy Innocents because he feared that one of those weak, helpless, innocent children might be the Christ.  His was the fear of a tyrant totally consumed with ambition and evil.  We have our own modern day Herod:  ‘abortion on demand’.  And we now have countless numbers of Holy Innocents!

December 26- God, the Lord of life, has entrusted to men the noble mission of safeguarding life, and men must carry it out in a manner worthy of themselves.  Life must be protected with the utmost care from the moment of conception: abortion and infanticide are abominable crimes
