Planned Parenthood Caught Misleading on Birth Control Pills

by Steven Ertelt | | The Planned Parenthood abortion business has been caught misleading Mississippi residents about the availability of the birth control pill should state residents approve Amendment 26 this November. The ballot proposal has the state of Mississippi defining the beginning of human life as at conception.

The pro-life group Live Action responded to public claims from Planned Parenthood attacking the “personhood amendment,” which will appear on the November 8 ballot asking state residents: “Should the term ‘person’ be defined to include every human being from the moment of fertilization, cloning, or the functional equivalent thereof?”
A Salon story several days ago claims, “By its own logic, the initiative would almost certainly ban common forms of birth control like the IUD and the morning-after pill, call into question the legality of the common birth-control pill, and even open the door to investigating women who have suffered miscarriages.”
Kay Scott, CEO of Planned Parenthood Southeast has said, “It’s so extreme it could even ban common methods of birth control like the pill.”
But the activists at Live Action released audio and transcripts of calls to Planned Parenthood, legitimate health care providers and local pharmacies asking if the birth control pill would still be available after November’s vote — even if Mississippi residents approve Amendment 26.
“So far as we know, birth control will still be available,” a Planned Parenthood official in Hattiesburg told the caller.

Rockford Babies Receive Two More Weeks Of LIFE!

Rockford, Il – ( – 10-31-2011 – by Rockford Life Pro-Initiative – A telephone conference was held on Monday October 31, 2011 between an administrative law Judge, an attorney for the Rockford abortion mill, and an attorney for the state of Illinois.

It appeared to those who were able to listen into the tele-conference, that the clinic and state are trying to enter into an agreement to allow the infamous Rockford abortion mill to reopen in two weeks. A second tele-confrence will take place on November 14 where an agreement is expected to be reached.

The children of Rockford have been blessed for a month with no abortions taking place at Rockford’s abortion mill and at least until November 14, no babies will be killed inside the Northern Illinois Women’s Center.

We thank God for this time of peace in the womb where dozens and dozens of children have been saved from abortion in Rockford.  The Rockford Pro-Life initiative will keep the public informed of the progress of this settlement and will inform all of our readers when a date is made public that the Rockford mill will be back in it’s killing business.

We will be back, in full force, to pray and offer help to mothers and children in need the day NIWC begins killing babies again!

Motherhood at a Price

IVF Is Proving Perilous By Father John Flynn, LC ROME, OCT. 28, 2011 ( Even as in vitro fertilization treatments are being sought by growing numbers of women, more and more evidence is surfacing to confirm the downsides of its use. Canadian doctor John Barrett described what he termed an "epidemic of multiple births, largely as a result of IVF," the National Post newspaper reported Sept. 22. "What the IVF industry is doing is creating a population of sick babies … that is impacting all society," he said.

The number of multiple births in Canada increased by 45% to almost 12,000 a year in the period 1991 to 2008, according to the article, citing data from Statistics Canada.
In a further article on IVF on Sept. 26 the National Post reported that it is linked to rare genetic disorders.
Addressing a conference on fertility Dr. Rosanna Weksberg said that babies born as a result of IVF are up to 10 times more likely to have genetic problems. While she affirmed her support for the use of IVF, Weskberg also said she is seeing many IVF children with rare disorders.
She added there is evidence that IVF babies are more likely to be born at a low weight.
The cause of this increased risk of genetic problems is unknown, but according to Weksberg it could well be a combination of the infertility problems of the parents, together with the fertility treatments themselves.
In cases where outside donors are involved, other problems for IVF children can come about due to their lack of knowledge of any medical issues of their biological parent.
In Australia a television station recently ran a story about a woman conceived using donor sperm, who now has inheritable bowel cancer, which was not from her mother.
According to a report published Sept.5 by the British BioNews service, the woman cannot obtain any information about her father, nor can she contact the other eight half-siblings, due to the fact that at the time of their conception the identity of donors was kept secret.
A number of Australian states have now changed the law to require donors to consent to the release of their information, but the change is not retrospective.
A similar problem was reported by American ABC News on July 21. Rebecca Blackwell and her 15-year-old son Tyler were trying to track down his sperm donor father and while he did not respond to their requests for information his sister did tell them that her brother had an inheritable aortic heart defect.
They also found out that Tyler had inherited this condition, which could kill him without warning. He later had an operation, but faces the need for continual monitoring for the rest of his life.
Tyler’s father donated sperm at three clinics, fathering at least 24 children. He did not tell any of them about his health problems, which also include Marfan’s syndrome, a tissue disorder.
Other negative consequences come about when a donor’s sperm has been used very frequently. The concern is that some of the children, ignorant of who their father is, could enter into an incestuous relationship.
One British sperm donor has fathered children in 17 families, the Sunday Times reported, Sept. 18.
Official guidelines put a limit at 10, but the Human Fertility and Embryology Authority (HFEA) has admitted there have been other breaches as well. Moreover, they also don’t know how many times the rules have been broken.
"There is a real danger in a small country like the UK for donor-conceived children to meet up unknowingly with half-siblings," said Josephine Quintavalle, of the Comment on Reproductive Ethics.
While the United States is a lot bigger than England the problem of multiple IVF offspring from the same donor is significant.
One notable case highlighted in a report published Sept. 5 by the New York Times told of a man who has up to now fathered 150 children. While this is an extreme example the article said that there are many other cases of donors fathering 50 or more children.
"We have more rules that go into place when you buy a used car than when you buy sperm," said Debora L. Spar, author of "The Baby Business: How Money, Science and Politics Drive the Commerce of Conception."
According to the New York Times there is no certain data on how many children are born involving the use of sperm donors. There are various estimates, however, ranging from 30,000 to 60,000.
It’s not just the babies who are at risk. An analysis of existing studies found that women who undergo IVF have a higher risk, as much as 40% in some cases, of a serious complication during pregnancy, London’s Telegraph newspaper reported Oct. 20.
It is thought that the process involving the initial development of the embryo outside the mother’s body leads to a poor development of the placenta later on. Another cause is that the women tend to be older and to have health problems.
Some IVF treatments involve the donation of ova from another woman. Concern was recently expressed that the large number of ova being taken from some donors puts them at risk, the Sunday Times reported Oct. 23.
In addition to problems such as mood swings, headaches and tiredness, the hormones injected into donors can lead to a condition called ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome, causing blood clots and kidney damage and even death in some cases.
Data from the HFEA show that in one case as many as 85 ova were taken from one donor. Others had large numbers removed, from 50 up to 70.
These worries come at a time when fertility authority has increased — from £250 to £750 ($400 to $1,200) — the amount an ova donor can be paid, the Independent newspaper reported, Oct. 20.
The move came as clinics suffer from a shortage of donors. In part this came about due to donor anonymity being removed in 2005.
"This is a disgraceful decision that puts young women’s health at risk," declared David King, director of Human Genetics Alert. A £750 payment is a strong incentive to university students who are struggling to pay their fees, he said.
Apart from health risks the clinics sometimes make mistakes, which are on the rise in Britain, according to an Aug. 13 article published by the Daily Mail.
Figures from the HFEA reveal that 564 serious errors or near misses occurred at clinics in Britain in 2010. This is three times the 2007 number.
The mistakes include injecting the wrong sperm into an ova, embryos accidentally being destroyed, and the wrong embryos being implanted into women.
There has only been a slight increase in the number of IVF treatments in recent years, so the sharp increase in mistakes is not due to higher numbers of cases.
Earlier, in a July 22 article, the Daily Mail reported that hundreds of thousands of embryos are thrown away by clinics.
More than 30 human embryos are created for every successful birth by IVF, according to figures published by the Department of Health.
The information revealed that since 1991 more than 3 million embryos have been created by IVF, with fewer than 100,000 births resulting.
According to the Daily Mail around 1.5 million were discarded in the course of treatment and more than 100,000 were given for research in destructive experiments.
The opposition of the Catholic Church to the use of IVF is well known, but you don’t have to be a Catholic to be very concerned over the immense human cost involved in these procedures.

What Is The Media Attempting To Do? – KEEP THE FLOOD GATES CLOSED!

Rockford, Il – ( – 10-28-2011 – by Rockford Pro-Life Initiative – Through its silence the media has ignored what has been happening at the Rockford abortion mill.  To our knowledge nothing appeared in the Register-Star about the years of racism, bigotry, discrimination, and perverted hatred that has been displayed by the staff of the abortion mill and its supporters.

In August 2011 when the horrific Illinois Department of Public Health report was made public about the dangerous and life-threatening conditions found inside the Rockford abortion mill, those at the Register-Star apparently just couldn’t figure out what the report really meant so they declined  to inform the people of Rockford of the dangerous conditions in the mill.

Finally, when the State closed the clinic down, the Register -Star had to attempt to save face and report on it.  The best it could do was run a couple stories with few details, little background reporting, and without talking to any of the women who have been so gravely harmed by the Rockford abortion mill.  As far as we know, not one pro-life leader was contacted for the pro-life perspective on any of this.

Abortion Mill Workers Found Guilty Of Murder

Two former employees of late-term abortionist Kermit Gosnell in Philadelphia have pleaded guilty to 3rd degree murder charges for their roles in the deaths of an abortion patient and one baby born alive during a failed late-term abortion.

Gosnell, who ran an abortion facility in Philadelphia that has been dubbed a “House of Horrors,” has been charged with eight counts of murder, including of seven newborn babies and one client, and is awaiting trial.

According to testimony by former employees, Gosnell and his assistants killed “hundreds” of newborn babies by severing their spinal cords rather than killing them in the womb because the abortionist was too unskilled to administer the lethal injection in utero.

After news of the conditions in the clinic broke earlier this year the flood gates opened.  “Scores” of women stepped forward to tell their horror stories of forced abortions and abysmally poor care at the hands of Gosnell and his employees.

To this day the media has ignored the Rockford abortion mill’s years of documented bigotry, hatred, discrimination, and horrific conditions.  We question if this is the media’s attempt to keep the flood gates from opening on Rockford’s abortion clinic so the countless women who have been harmed by abortion can remain in the dark and not know where to turn.

"Whoever shall harm one of these little ones, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea."  Matthew 18:6

In the end we will all have to answer to God for who we are and what we have done.  Those at the Rockford Register-Star have for years supported and protected the decriminalized murder of God’s children through abortion on demand. By doing this they have let down the citizens of Rockford.

Rockford Christian Unity In A Holy Cause

( – 10-28-2011 – Mark Pickup, an internationally known pro-life advocate from Canada, has always inspired, taught, and encouraged us here in Rockford with his great letters and articles.  Mark made comments on his blog about our recent article on a rescue at NIWC (Northern Illinois Women’s Center) 22 years ago.  One point we would like to expand upon is the uniqueness of the Rockford pro-life community.  The diversity among Christians in Rockford’s pro-life community, we are happy to say, is even greater than stated.

A strong advocate for life once told us that the Rockford pro-life community sets the standard for the pro-life movement.  We at the Pro Life Corner believe this to be true.
Mark, thank you for your article on their unity and a call for all of us to be involved.
Please visit Mark’s blog often at:
One of Christ’s great concerns was for unity amongst his followers. In the great prayer of Jesus just prior to his Passion (John 17) he mentions unity amongst his followers. Unity meant so much to Jesus (see verses 11,20-23).  We should be too.

I am referring to practicing Catholics faithful to the Magisterium of the Church, and evangelical Christians. Why do I mention only evangelical Protestant Christians? Well, they still believe that the Scriptures are the inspired, inerrant word of God, and that humanity is saved only through faith in Jesus Christ as man’s savior. Evangelical Protestant Christians and conservative Catholics still believe in the central tenets of faith articulated in the Apostles’ Creed. It must grieve our Lord when he sees us fight or attack one another and Christ must be pleased when his followers can set aside doctrinal differences and work, arm in arm, to bear Christian witness to a culture that has gone astray.

A beautiful example of this occurred 22 years ago when Catholics and evangelicals stormed the doors of an abortion clinic in Rockford Illinois in peaceful demonstration and occupying the halls of that terrible place for the sake of a holy cause. Go to and scroll about a quarter way down the page and click on the video. This is shoe-leather Christian witness.

Let us do more. Join the 40 DAYS FOR LIFE. Catholics and evangelicals praying together to hold up the value of life and put an end to abortion. There’s 12 days left in this years 40 DAYS FOR LIFE. Horrors Found At WI Abortion Mill Has Links To Rockford

Rockford, Il – ( – 10-28-2011 – by Rockford Pro-Life Initiative – Abortionist Dennis Christensen, the owner of the Northern Illinois Women’s Center in Rockford, seems to have run into a string of bad luck.  His Rockford abortion mill has been closed by the State of Illinois for conditions that threaten the lives, safety, and health of women.  Christensen, who is listed as part of the "team of physicians" who operate the Affiliated Medical Services killing center in Milwaukee, is not doing much better in Wisconsin.

For the third time this year, an ambulance has had to pick up a woman from this abortion mill because of a botched abortion.  The bad luck for abortionist Christensen is that this time pro-lifers video taped the staff of the abortion mill laughing and even dancing as a woman’s life hung in the balance because of their shoddy abortion business.

The Rockford abortion mill is well known for its disregard for common decency, lack of medical ethics, and mocking of human life.  Based on the fact that the abortion mill staff in a clinic associated with the owner of the Rockford abortion mill were caught on tape laughing and having a great time after they had just killed babies and injured women shows that if the Rockford mill ever opens again, both women and children of our community will be in grave danger.

Rockford Abortion Mill's War On The Weak And Defenseless

Rockford Il.-  ( 10-27-2011-  A main theme of the "choice" supporters in Rockford is abortion is needed to "deal with" human beings they consider less than perfect. These less than "perfect" human beings they consider ripe for abortion are the poor, minorities, and any child that could possibly have a physical or mental disability.

This video below is the story of just one of the people the abortion industry targets for extinction.  Please watch his story and be strengthened in the Christian truth that all people are created in the image of God and all human lives have value and meaning.

ED NOTE:  We have never seen a more inspiring video!  Please take time to watch this remarkable young man and his equally remarkable father.  God truly does do miraculous things.

The Courage Of Pro-Lifers And The Lies Of Abortion Exposed In A Second Rockford Rescue Video From 1989

Rockford, Il – ( – 10-26-2011 – by Rockford Pro-Life Initiative – A video of the second rescue that took place at the Rockford abortion mill in 1989 has been posted on YouTube.  This video gives a better look at what happened outside the mill as pro-lifers were taken away by police.

It’s interesting to note in this video how completely peaceful and docile the pro-lifers are and their willingness to use their bodies to help save children in the womb.  Contrasted to the peaceful nature of  the pro-lifers are the threats of the abortion mill security guard who had a sewage truck he wanted to spray pro-lifers with and even chained the doors closed of abortion mill to keep anyone from leaving.
In a rather amusing part of the video, the clinic landlord and security guard ramble on about how he was just attacked by seven pro-lifers.  Yet, not a hair on his head is out of place after this imaginary incident took place, and no charges were ever taken seriously.
We all realize the days of rescues at abortion mills are over. What this video teaches us is if the Rockford abortion mill reopens, we all have a calling and responsibility to be present on the sidewalks outside this killing center in peace, prayer, and love to help mothers in need and defend the lives of God’s children who will be facing a cruel and inhuman death inside Rockford’s child-killing center.
A special thanks to the Missionaries to the Pre-born for opening their video archives and sharing some of the history of the fight to help mothers and save the lives of their babies.

Video Shows How Children Were Saved From Abortion In Rockford In 1989

Rockford, Il – ( – 10-23-2011 – by Rockford Pro-Life Initiative – On February 17, 1989, 111 Christians stormed the doors of the Northern Illinois Women’s Center in Rockford, Illinois. NIWC is located in the former Turner School Building. Its sadistic landlord, Wayne Webster, used school buses as portable fences between those pleading for the babies on the sidewalk, and those procuring abortions. NIWC is shut down by the Health Department this month of October, 2011, hopefully for good.

A video has been posted on YouTube that shows how over 100 Christians peacefully occupied the hallways of the Northern Illinois Women’s Center in 1989, resulting in the saving of many children’s lives.
Led by Pastors and a Priest, a group of courageous Christians peacefully filled the hallways of Rockford’s notorious child-killing center.  This rescue encouraged countless mothers that day to choose life.  In the late 80’s the Rockford mill was killing about 30 babies every time it was open.
On this day two babies were killed, but countless children were saved from abortion by the faith and love of those Christians.
A few things you will learn from this video;
The Christians who filled the halls of the Rockford mill did so with faith, kindness, and compassion for mothers and children in need.
The joy of this life-saving work is clearly seen and heard in the songs of praise.
There were heroic Pastors leading the people.  When these courageous Pastors were offered a "deal" by the State’s Attorney, they refused.
Wayne Webster, the clinic security guard, tries to intimidate the witnesses to Christ and life, but his words are silenced by songs of praise.
Mother Teresa wrote a letter to the Winnebago County State’s Attorney, asking him not to prosecute those good Christians for their lifesaving work.
We learn that one mother whose child was saved from abortion this day returned to a local church to give thanks to the pro-lifers for what they did for her and her baby.
In the coming weeks Rockford’s killing center may reopen again.  We do not hold rescues anymore, but we should remember the courageous Christians who saved countless lives that day.  Because of them, there are dozens of young women and young men alive today in their early twenties because they were saved from abortion in Rockford in 1989.
We can now honor them and Jesus Christ by standing in prayer and love on the sidewalks outside the Rockford abortion mill as a witness to the dignity, values, and infinite worth of every human life.
A special thanks to the Missionaries to the Pre-born for opening their video archives and sharing some of the history of the fight to help mothers and save the lives of their babies.  Much has happened since that rescue, up to the present day closing of that unsafe clinic called NIWC.
Perhaps you were part of the rescue that day?  Or one of the other rescues?  If so, maybe you would care to leave a comment telling our readers how this day affected you.  Were you arrested that day?  How were you treated by the system; the police, etc.?
