ProLifeCorner.com- Easter 2013 - The world has tried to change Easter into a secular holiday; they have tried to change the celebration of the risen Lord into the Easter bunny, Spring break, and spring egg hunts. There He hung- between two thieves—His piercing cry rending the blackened vault above, “My God, my God—why have You forsaken Me! “
There He hung- His face marred more than any man’s!

There He hung- cast out by the world–the taunt and sneer of the passer-by, and the song of the drunkard in the street! He gave Himself to this. Continue reading
Mundane to the casual observer. A shepherd with his sheep, a housewife with her thoughts, a doctor with his patients. But to a handful of awestruck witnesses, the most maddening of miracles is occurring. God is on a cross. The creator of the universe is being executed. It is no normal six hours. It is no normal Friday. Far worse than the breaking of his body is the shredding of his heart. And now his own father is beginning to turn his back on him, leaving him alone. Continue reading

ProLifeCorner.com- In John 10:18, Christ declares, “No one takes my life from me. I give my life of my own free will.” Yet, sinner or saint, we all have a role to play in Christ’s brutal Crucifixion! In her Magisterial teaching of the faith and in the witness of her saints, the Church has never forgotten that “sinners were the authors and the ministers of all the sufferings that the divine Redeemer endured.” Taking into account the fact that our sins affect Christ himself, the Church does not hesitate to impute to Christians the gravest responsibility for the torments inflicted upon Jesus, a responsibility with which they have all too often burdened the Jews alone: Continue reading
