ProLifeCorner- By Larry Plachno- How much of a connection is there between Jesus Christ, our economy and our politics? The answer is considerably more than you might think, particularly once you understand that moral relativism is effectively the opposite of Christianity. Having spent more than 20 years working with statistics surrounding interconnected social problems, I can tell you that all of this not only becomes increasingly simple but also logical.
When pressed, Jesus Christ gave us two very simple and basic commandments: love of God and love of neighbor. Since God sent His Son to suffer and die to atone for our sins, love of God means judging our actions and decisions as to whether they are good or evil. Being a follower of Jesus Christ means that good is what is best for others and society. Continue reading →
ProLifeCorner- Today is a very special person’s birthday; Jesus our Lord! God has walked among us. He became one of us! He comes to save us in the form of a little baby. This baby can change your life! He really is in your life giving you grace if you recognize Him. But He wants change your life. He wants you to experience His love in a new way, in a way that can make you the person you want to be! Continue reading →
Pro Life Corner – Christmas 2014 – Have we prepared the way of the Lord? Are we willing to follow the way of Mary to say yes to God’s will in our lives? Are we willing to allow Him into our homes? Mary said ‘yes’ to God physically living within her. Mary was a holy and sacred temple of God in the truest sense. So are we. God wants to live in our hearts and our souls and our homes. He really wants to live in us. He really wants to make an effect in our life just like he made an incredible effect in Mary’s Life and in Joseph’s life. He really wants to give you His peace. He really wants to give you His mercy. He really wants to give you His love. What should be our response to that? To follow Mary’s example, and say I am a handmaid of the Lord. Let it be done to me according to your Word.

ProLifeCorner- Chicago- Eric Scheidler of the pro-life action league in Chicago just gave us some wonderful news, an abortionist in Oklahoma has been arrested and his killing center is closed. Eric had this to say. Last week notorious Oklahoma abortionist Naresh Patel was arrested at his abortion clinic for selling abortion drugs to women who weren’t really pregnant. Continue reading →
ProLifeCorner-By Larry Plachno- Some of the pro-life groups have been celebrating over announcements that the number of abortions has been declining recently. The researchers and demographers will tell you that the dancing in the streets is unwarranted and at best questionable. What at first appears to be a positive turn in the battle is actually a worsening of the war. The situation is similar to saying that you have reduced automobile accidents by greatly reducing the number of cars on the road.
A major part of this problem is that far too many people concentrate on the effects of abortion while ignoring the cause of abortion and the cause of most of our social problems, which is moral relativism. Since our elected officials, our religious leaders and our pro-life groups all depend on votes or contributions for support, they tend to ignore moral relativism for fear of offending someone. The result is that our society continues to grow more selfish and continues to embrace moral relativism. Continue reading →
ProLifeCorner- The world is happy to let Jesus Christ be a baby in a manger, but not willing to let Him be the sovereign King and Lord that He is. Yet that is the central truth of the Christmas story: the Child of Christmas is God! Lots of people who would otherwise gladly embrace Jesus as Messiah, don’t want Him to be God.
• They will welcome Him as a son of David, but not as the Son of God.
• They don’t mind celebrating the birth of a baby, but they don’t want to hear about the Lord of lords.
• They sing of His nativity, but brazenly reject His authority.
• They adore Him as an infant, but will not pay homage to Him as the God-man.
• They can tolerate the trappings of Christmas, a manger, shepherds, wise men, Joseph and Mary, but they cannot bear the advent of God in human flesh.
• Consequently the world ignores the core of all Christmas truth.
• Instead of honoring Jesus at Christmas, they are actually mocking Him. Continue reading →
ProLifeCorner – 12-12-14 – by Staff – On December 17 of 2013 we shared with our readers and asked their prayers for a young man, Matt, severly burned in a fire. We are so pleased to present the following letter from Matt’s sister telling us of his progress since then. What a joyous Christmas gift for Matt and his family. His recovery is nothing short of a miracle and the answer to many prayers. Good news is hard to come by these days, and this is one article we rejoice in being able to report. Continue reading →
It has come to my attention that many of you are upset that folks are taking My name out of the season. How I personally feel about this celebration can be understood by those of you who have been blessed with children of your own. I don’t care what you call the day. If you want to celebrate My birth, just get along and love one another.
If it bothers you that your home town does not allow a Nativity scene, then just get rid of a couple of Santas and snowmen and put in a small Nativity scene on your front lawn. If all My followers did that, there wouldn’t be any need for such a scene on the town square because there would be many of them all around town.
Stop worrying that people are calling the tree a holiday tree, instead of a Christmas tree. It is I who make all trees. You can remember Me anytime you see any tree. Decorate a grape vine if you wish: I actually spoke of that once in a teaching, explaining who 1 am in relation to you and what each of our tasks are. If you have forgotten that one, look up John l5:l-8.
If you want to give Me a present in remembrance of My birth, here is my wish list. Continue reading →
