A Woman of Love and Courage

A Woman of Love and Courage

Jesus 250xProLifeCorner-  Rockford Il.–  Sandra Mendoza had faithfully served her employer and the public at the Winnebago County Health Department for 18 years when her boss informed her she must begin referring mothers to abortion clinics.

Sandra had a choice.  She could quietly go along with this mandate.  After all who would know? She could rationalize that it isn’t her fault if a woman chooses an abortion.  Odds are the public would never find out and she has been at the WCHD for 18 years and no one would expect her to throw away her career and family income over this.

But Sandra knows a few things that her bosses at the Winnebago County Department of Public Health either don’t know or don’t care about.

LifeNews: Report Nurse Fired

Sandra knows every child in the womb is a beautiful person created in the image and likeness of God.  Sandra knows that women are never helped by abortion they just become the mothers of a dead child. Sandra knows that if we don’t protect the weak and defenseless among us they can be abused and killed………and Sandra knows and loves Jesus Christ.

So many in our modern world have sold-out, compromised, and surrendered to the culture of death.

Sandra Mendoza made her decision – she chose the lives of mothers and children over her own comfort.  She choose to take the narrow path that leads to goodness, love and Jesus Christ over the broad road that leads to destruction.  In other words she chose God and others over herself.

Please keep Sandra Mendoza in your prayers.  She lost her family income and her career but she stood up for all the voiceless children who face death in abortion mills.  She placed herself and family in harms way so mothers would not be sold the lies of the abortion industry. Sandra Mendoza is being persecuted because of her faith and love – she deserves our love and support.

  1. THANK YOU Sandra for living and loving as a Christian. We don’t see much courage in our world today but you have set a courageous example for all of us.

  2. “When the time comes, as it surely will, when we face that awesome moment, the final judgment, I’ve often thought, as Fulton Sheen wrote, that it is a terrible moment of loneliness. You have no advocates, you are there alone standing before God — and a terror will rip your soul like nothing you can imagine. But I really think that those in the pro-life movement will not be alone. I think there’ll be a chorus of voices that have never been heard in this world but are heard beautifully and clearly in the next world — and they will plead for everyone who has been in this movement. They will say to God, ‘Spare him, because he loved us!'”
    Congressman Henry Hyde

Sandra Mendoza will have a lot of tiny hearts and souls loving her in eternity.

  3. I would really like to know when this nurse was fired and I will certainly pray for her and her family that she will find gainful employment. Shame on the Winnebago Health Department!

  4. I called the Poor Clares in Rockford and told them about Sandra Mendoaz. They will be pray for Sandra and so will I.

  5. God bless you. Please know that there are pro-life people all over the country praying for you. Christians know that we are increasingly under attack, and some of us have to stand up and defend our religious rights. I’m glad God chose you.

  6. Sandra, you are a bold, strong, selfless Christian woman and role model for all of us. Thank you for your stand for life and against the culture of death! We ask that God grant you another position that doesn’t compromise your values and God’s moral and ethical principles for life.

  7. She may want her attorney to seek legal counsel from Thomas Moore Society as well since they are the experts in this field (as we all personally know). No reason to reinvent the wheel.
She will be in our prayers, God bless this principled and God fearing person.

  8. Thanks you everyone for praying for our family. I am Sandra’s son and I’ve been flustered by the hateful comments she has gotten and it warms my heart to see people who sympathize with her cause.
ED: You’re welcome, your mother is a courageous lady, Please do not allow Satan to steal your joy. Through the grace of God she will be vindicated.

  9. What an exemplary person you are, standing up for what you believe in! It’s not right for an employer to force you to do something. They could have made accommodations. I’m proud of you for doing this Sandra! You were such a great nurse at WCHD!
