Roger Nilles GoFundMe Campaign

Roger Nilles GoFundMe Campaign

ProLifeCorner- Freeport Il.- By Laraine Hruby-

Maybe a picture’s worth a thousand words, but first-hand experience is certainly worth more than a million! And it has been my good fortune to Roger Nilles 250xknow Roger and Louise and witness parts of their long history of working together to overcome many debilitating and sometimes life threatening health conditions.  Throughout it all, Louise works full-time and has been able to respond to the many ups and downs which require visits to doctors and ERs, stays in hospital and care centers, whatever it takes in order to treat and surmount conditions involving Roger’s lungs, heart, nervous and circulatory systems, and, most recently a vein collapse which resulted in the necessary amputation of Roger’s left leg above the knee.

And if I had to sum it all up in one word, I’d have to say “AMAZING!”

Yes, AMAZING, that in spite of all these health conditions, their life is not about trials and survival and focus on pains of the past, but about life and love and looking forward with grateful expectation to that special happiness that comes with love – the love of God and others. Creation vs Evolution

Creation vs Evolution

ProLifeCorner-  A good friend of the ProLifeCorner sent us this. He presented it as a homily to his congregation. I see it as one of the best articles that I have read in recent years on this subject. The half truths and the lies that our secular school system puts forth is a betrayal of responsibility to educate our children. Instead of reporting all the scientific facts, they choose to teach only what promotes their agenda and disregard any facts that contradict their spin.

I hope this article inspires you as much as it has inspired me.

Sincerely Frank J Munda

Creation vs Evolution

“The Lord God formed man out of the clay of the ground and blew into his nostrils the breath of life, and so man became a living being.”

In his book Confessions, St. Augustine describes his search for truth:

“What is this God?” I asked the earth and it answered, ‘I am not He,’ and all things that are in the earth made the same confession. Then I asked the sea and the deeps and the creeping things, and they answered, ‘We are not  your God; seek higher…’ Continue reading

A Divine Mercy Moment: From the diary of St. Faustina

“Help me, O Lord that my eyes may be merciful, so that I may never suspect or judge from appearances, but look for what is beautiful in my neighbors’ souls and come to their rescue.”  – St. Faustina (Diary 163)

“Encourage the souls with whom you come in contact to trust in My infinite mercy. Oh, how I love those souls who have complete confidence in Me. I will do everything for them.” – Jesus to St. Faustina (Diary 294)

“The greatest sinners would achieve great sanctity, if only they would trust in My mercy.” – Jesus to St. Faustina (Diary 1784)

“When my soul is in anguish, I think only in this way: Jesus is good and full of mercy, and even if the ground were to give way under my feet, I would not cease to trust in Him.” – St. Faustina (Diary 1192)

“When you approach the confessional, know this, that I Myself am waiting there for you. Here the misery of the soul meets the God of mercy. Tell souls that from this fount of mercy souls draw graces solely with the vessel of trust. If their trust is great, there is no limit to My generosity.” – Jesus to St. Faustina (Diary 1602)

“Be always merciful as I am merciful. Love everyone out of love for me, even your greatest enemies, so that My mercy may be fully reflected in your heart.” Jesus to St. Faustina (Diary 1695) Continue reading

America Was a Great Nation

America Was a Great Nation

ProLifeCorner – 2-2-2017 – by Chris Munda – The following article by our friend from Canada, Mark Pickup, is one of the best we have read, and that’s really saying something.  He gives us a brief history of why America was a great nation and why America now is headed in a downward spiral.  There is a glimmer of hope, however, if we clean up our act and start to love and help others again.  But most of all, we need to stop the holocaust of the unborn.  We cannot continue to slaughter our children and expect our nation to become great again. The Purposeful Killing of Human Life

The Purposeful Killing of Human Life

ProLifeCorner – 2-2-2017 – by Chris Munda – Euthanasia goes by other names, for example, mercy killing, assisted suicide, easy death, etc..  You can call it whatever name you like, but it still means only one thing-the purposeful killing of a human life.

We are living in a time when human life has been cheapened so much that animals are treated with more care and respect than human beings.  It has, for quite some time, been seriously discussed how older, terminally ill, or chronically ill patients should die to save resources for the young and strong.  Is this the kind of world in which we want to live?  Should Grandpa be put down like a dog because he has arthritis and can’t get around as fast as he did in the past?  How about getting rid of Grandma because she’s too weak to stand at the stove for hours cooking everyone’s favorite foods?  Or what about a child or young adult with MS?  Do they deserve to die because they have an illness or handicap?

One only has to hear the inspiring life story of Mark Pickup, a great hero in the pro-life movement.  “Assisted Suicide As A Matter of Course”.Mark is but one of many people who suffer from a debilitating disease, but he has shown the world great courage, strength, and has shared many great writings with all of us.  Those who favor euthanasia would suggest he is really not useful to society.  What rubbish!!  Mark has given hope and inspiration to so many people who are handicapped in some way.  He is a role model to all of us. Happiness or Holiness

 Happiness or Holiness (or both?)

“He began to teach them, saying: ‘Blessed are they …’ “

At the conclusion of the movie “Bride of Frankenstein,” the movie sequel based on Mary’s Shelly’s book, “Frankenstein,” Frankenstein’s monster is emotionally devastated at the repugnant rejection of him by his so called, “bride to be.”

With tears in its eyes, the heartbroken monster starts to throw a tantrum, when it inadvertently and unknowingly stumbles across a lever that, if moved in the wrong position, could set off a chain reaction and destroy the entire laboratory, and everything and everyone in it, including itself.

In anticipation of this potential disaster, the evil scientist sternly warns the monster “not to pull the lever” in the hopes the monster might react rationally, and avoid the impending calamity.

Of course, sternly warning a monster of its moral obligation not to do something rash and immoral, immediately following a personally devastating emotional and psychological heartbreak and public humiliation is almost like inviting it, in fact, to “pull the lever.” That’s why they’re monsters!  They generally don’t listen very well, especially when you tell them to do something right or not do something wrong.
