Breakfast To Honor Sister Rosalia

Announcement-   Rockford, Il – (ProLifeCorner.com) – 1-27-2013 – by Rockford Pro-Life Initiative – For years Sister Rosalia Bauer was a regular on the sidewalks outside of Rockford’s abortion mill either sidewalk counseling or praying the Rosary.  Her joyful spirit and strong witness for life has inspired many of us.  When Sister was not defending life at the Rockford abortion mill she was praying and working at St. Jude Parish in Beloit.  Now after decades of service in this area Sister Rosalia is returning to her mother house of the Franciscan Sister’s of Perpetual Adoration in La Crosse WI.

Sister Rosalia recently said about her vocation, “Being a Franciscan Sister of Perpetual Adoration for 60 years is a deeply grounded blessing. My experiences as an R.N. and our community’s first family nurse practitioner have led me to serve people from the womb to the tomb in many homes, the United States and Thailand. What a privilege, being a member of this Franciscan community where Eucharistic spirituality is the focus and prayer/service is an integral part of our lives. All praise and all thanksgiving be every moment thine.”

As our way of honoring Sister Rosalia for her years of dedication to the pro-life cause in Rockford and beyond, all are invited to an informal breakfast to say good-bye to Sister at the Stockholm Inn located at 2420 Charles St, on Friday Feb 8, at 9:30am.

We have a room reserved to seat 20 people so please email Kevin to reserve a spot.  everylifematters@comcast.net

Sister Rosalia has touched so many lives, especially in Rockford that it would be difficult to have a large enough venue for all those who would like to wish her well and Godspeed.

If you have a special memory of Sister or just want to give her your best wishes, please take a moment to send in a comment to Pro Life Corner. You will see at the end of this article how and where to send it.

All of us at Pro Life Corner extend our love and gratitude to a great lady and devoted daughter of the Church.

  1. I have lived with Sister Rosalia Bauer for 16 1/2 years. My life has been blest with her passionate love for the pre-born babies that will never experience their fullness of life. We have shared so much that an entire book would never cover her JOY, enthusiasm, energy and courage for life.

  2. Sister Rosalia has been such a strong voice for the unborn in the Beloit and surrounding area and she will be missed so very much. God must need her in LaCrosse to help them close the abortion Mill there. It just won’t be the same without Sister Rosalia. We wish her many blessings and continued “high level health”!
