March For Life 2016 Washington DC and Chicago

ProLifeCorner-   Freeport/Rockford Illinois-  The Knights of Pro LifeColumbus are organizing a group from Freeport to go with the Diocese of Rockford to the March for Life in Washington DC. All are welcome!

Coming to the March for Life is a great way to find solidarity with 300,000 other people from the US that are also pro-life. Majority of those there are college age and down, though you need not be young to participate. The energy is uplifting to see so many people motivated by love to stand up for life before our elected officials. We will be offering prayers, learning more about life and have an opportunity to see our country’s capitol. Continue reading

Nativity Scenes Are Legal!

Nativity Scenes Are Legal!

Christmas 300xProLifeCorner- Editor- I know it might seem a little early to start talking about Nativity scenes but Christmas is just around the corner, and so are the Christmas Nazis. These Christian hating, Christmas Nazis have gotten away with too much for too long. That is why we are encouraging you to inform yourself and your friends as to our rights in this country. Thankfully, we have wonderful groups such as the Thomas More Society, and Alliance Defending Freedom on our side. Please forward this article to all on your mailing list. If you know of anyone whose freedoms are being attacked please share this information and encourage them to call the toll-free number or contact the Alliance at their website.

Nativity Scenes Are Legal!

You have a right to display a Nativity scene on your city, town, village and State Capitol public property! Continue reading

Rockford, Il – 11-1-15 – by Rockford Pro-Life Initiative – Many of you know and love our friend Sister Rosalia Bauer, F.S.P.A.  Sister spent countless years praying outside our now closed Rockford abortion mill. She always had words of encouragement and trust in our Lord to share with us.

Four years after the closing of the Rockford abortion mill Sister Rosalia is still defending the poor, mothers in need, children, and all those in danger from the culture of death in Wisconsin.  Continue reading

Planned Parenthood Protest This Saturday in Aurora, IL.

Planned Parenthood is on the Ropes

ProLifeCorner- Rockford-   A reminder from Eric Scheidler of the Pro-life Action League. There’ll be a protest against the mega Corporation Planned Parenthood in 290+ locations nationwide. For northern Illinois that will be at Planned Parenthood Aurora Health Center 3051 E New York Street, Aurora, IL 60504. See link below for information and map location for the Aurora killing center.

Congress held another hearing on the nation’s largest abortion chain yesterday, and the effort to revoke their massive government subsidy is continuing as well.

Meanwhile, a federal judge in San Francisco just ruled that Congress can have access to ALL of the Center for Medical Progress videos — even those the abortion industry has sued to keep out of the public eye! Continue reading

Planned Parenthood Protest This Saturday in Aurora, IL.

Planned Parenthood Protest This Saturday in Aurora, IL.

ProLifeCorner-   Eric Scheidler, of the Pro Life Action League, is planning another demonstration against the mega killing center in Aurora, Il. Many of our readers may not be aware that Aurora is in the Rockford Diocese. Many dedicated pro-life citizens from the Rockford Pro-Life Initiative and pro-life citizens from southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois pray and witness at the Aurora killing center on a regular basis. Some of you may recall that the Pro Life Action League and other dedicated groups protested Planned Parenthood on August 22 of this year. These protests were nationwide and were held at many Planned Parenthood centers across the country. Over 78,000 people attended the August rally and it is hoped to increase that number significantly this Saturday.

The scandal surrounding Planned Parenthood’s illicit trafficking in aborted babies’ body parts is still raging, and we need to keep the pressure on. Continue reading

ProLifeCorner-     Rockford’s Life Chain will take place Sunday Oct 4, from 2-3pm at the corner of Alpine and Highcrest. Easy parking and pro-life signs will be available in the parking lot of Holy Family Church. Now more than ever we need to show our community that the people of Rockford will stand in public and defend life as long as one child is in danger of abortion.

This years Life Chain takes on special significance with the revelations of the industrial scale nature of the killing of children by Planned Parenthood and the trafficking of human body parts by the abortion industry. As Christians we must expose the killing of innocent children to the public. We must also pray and do penance for the killing of so many children by abortion.   Continue reading

Forest Of The Witches

Forest Of The Witches

“Forest Of The Witches”  is A Fantasy Adventure 30 Years in the Making

Updated information in this review.

ProLifeCorner-  Annarae –  It might seem strange to see a review of a book titled JPS 150x“Forest of the Witches” presented on the Pro Life Corner, but this is a delightful and adventurous book that will appeal to early teens and adults alike.  With witches in the title you might think it’s another typical adventure geared toward kids and having an occult theme.  Not So!!

The tale begins with 11  year old Patrick at the bedside of his dying grandfather.  Grandfather gives Patrick a bag of magic jelly beans so he will be able to go through the Forest of the Witches to the Valley of the Leprechauns in search of the pot of gold.  When Grandfather passes away, young Patrick embarks on the most dangerous adventure of his young life.  On his journey, he encounters many evil characters, wild animals, and many more tribulations.  But Patrick doesn’t travel alone.  Along the way he discovers he has his own guardian angel to assist him.  Together they battle many evil forces and the magic jelly beans come in handy in surprising ways.  Each page seems to get more exciting and sometimes scary, but it’s hard to put the book down.  You just want to find out what happens next.
