God has given us a vision for 2015 that includes the hiring of a Client Services Director/Sexual Risk Avoidance Specialist. He not only brought forth a very well-equipped young woman for this position who was hired 01/20/15 but He has also brought forth new volunteers to cover the main office of the Pregnancy Center to enable her and me to get out into the community to promote our new Sexual Risk Avoidance Program. We are praying for God’s blessings on our fundraisers to raise the funds needed to not only cover this position but the training, workbooks, laptop, DVD player and other supplies needed to implement this program. ProLifeCorner- Sun Jan 28 2015- Holy Angels Church, Aurora, Il-A Pro-Life Homily-by Deacon Tim White-
A story is related about Franklin Delano Roosevelt who became very weary of always smiling and mouthing the usual clichés at White House receptions So one evening he decided to discover if, in fact, anyone was really listening to what he was saying. One by one, as persons approached him with an extended hand, eye contact and a warm SMILE, THE PRESIDENT GRASPED THEIR HANDS AND EXCLAIMED, “I murdered my lovely wife this morning.” Each person would respond with the usual bromides: “How great” or “How wonderful!” or “Continue the marvelous work“. Nobody listened to what the president was saying except for one far eastern diplomat who responded calmly, “I’m sure she had it coming to her.” Continue reading →

Thomas More Society Wins Lengthy Lawsuit in Defense of Religious Liberty for Christian-Owned Business
(January 6, 2015 – Kentwood, MI) The Thomas More Society has won permanent protection for Autocam Medical, LLC, protecting its religious freedom to decline to provide abortion or contraceptive group insurance coverage for employees. Yesterday concluded a long legal battle that took Autocam all the way up to the United States Supreme Court, which sent the case back down to the lower courts. ProLifeCorner- By Larry Plachno- In recent years a great deal of study has gone into research and demographics on social problems, birthrates, politics, marriage and related items. As a result, we have been able to document many of the differences between conservatives and liberals. In most cases we have been able to explain those differences.
One of the major differences between conservatives and liberals is that conservatives are more willing to connect cause and effect in regard to their actions and decisions, and are also more willing to look at how their actions and decisions are interconnected. Liberals are considerably less willing to look at cause and effect as it relates to their actions and decisions, or how their actions and decisions are interconnected. Continue reading →
ProLifeCorner- Thursday, January 1st, 2015- Numbers 6: 22-27 Galatians 4:4-7 Luke 2:16-21
“So they went in haste and found Mary and Joseph and the infant lying in the manger.”
The Blessed Virgin Mary, a typical young woman of Nazareth by all outward appearances, was selected by God to be the mother of the Messiah, the Savior, the Son of God. What an extraordinary thing this was. Her consent to this astounding proposal changed the world and helped make salvation possible to mankind. So today, as we begin a new calendar year, we take time to honor Mary, the Holy Mother of God. In doing so we honor her Son, Jesus as well. Continue reading →
ProLifeCorner- By Larry Plachno- How much of a connection is there between Jesus Christ, our economy and our politics? The answer is considerably more than you might think, particularly once you understand that moral relativism is effectively the opposite of Christianity. Having spent more than 20 years working with statistics surrounding interconnected social problems, I can tell you that all of this not only becomes increasingly simple but also logical.
When pressed, Jesus Christ gave us two very simple and basic commandments: love of God and love of neighbor. Since God sent His Son to suffer and die to atone for our sins, love of God means judging our actions and decisions as to whether they are good or evil. Being a follower of Jesus Christ means that good is what is best for others and society. Continue reading →
