The Franciscan Sisters, Bishop Callahan, and “Reproductive Justice”

ProLifeCorner– LaCross, Wi – The Diocese of La Crosse is dealing with the scandal of allowing perinatologists at Franciscan/Mayo to “OFFER mothers in high risk pregnancies all health options including abortion.” .     The hospital is operated by the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration (FSPA).

The Franciscan Sisters and Bishop Callahan have continually said they are pro-life even though they allow these abortionists to treat pregnant mothers in this Catholic hospital.  It has been documented that these abortionists have pressured mothers to kill their children.  You can read more about this tragic situation here https://exposemayo.com/

On Monday September 26, all of the Franciscan Sisters found in their mail boxes voters guides distributed by FSPA leadership and were advised to read them if they were going to watch the presidential debate. Continue reading

We Lost A Great Friend

R-Bradys-200x (1)We Lost A Great Friend

ProLifeCorner.com – 9-4-2016 – by Rockford Pro-Life Initiative – Words cannot express the love and friendship the Rockford pro-life community has for Don and Mary Brady.  For decades they took care of pro-lifers every day the Rockford abortion mill was open.  They opened their hearts and the Rockford Labor News building they owned to help save babies from abortion. Don and Mary provided a warm smile, words of encouragement, coffee, donuts, and shelter from the heat, rain, and cold to people in need.

Don has passed away after years of loving his family, protecting the unborn, and serving Jesus Christ. : Funeral MASS will be on Tuesday, September 6, at 11:00 am at St. Bridget’s Church, 600 Clifford Avenue, Loves Park, IL with visitation [at St. Bridget’s] 1 Hour before Mass.

Are We Responsible for Encouraging Abortions?

Are We Responsible for Encouraging Abortions?

ProLifeCorner.com-  By Larry Plachno

Larry-150x1 blueA recent discussion on interconnected social problems and the resulting polarization of our society brought forth the suggestion that many of us, including many of the Christians and Catholics reading this, may be responsible at least in part for abortions. While many pro-life people would deny this, I invite you to follow the logic with me and see what we find.

Our Polarized Society

It was the demographers that first publicized our polarized society and related interconnected social problems. They pointed out that in several major elections they could predict voting based the fertility level of a state or area. Those states with the highest fertility levels traditionally swung to the right and voted for conservative candidates and conservative issues while those states with the lowest fertility levels traditionally swung to the left and voted for liberal candidates and liberal issues. Two things are immediately noteworthy. One is that the basis for this is fertility level, which translates into bringing children into the world. The second thing to note is that this question on children tends to polarize our society into the right and the left. Continue reading

Sacrificing the Next Generation

Sacrificing the Next Generation

Dubuque Iowa- By Katrina Hingtgen

Trina 175xWhen my daughter was growing up, I told her that everyone makes mistakes and that the best thing she could do for herself was to admit her mistakes and then learn from them. I also told her to learn from other people’s mistakes, as much as she could, so she could save herself the heartache of going through those things herself.

Human beings want to believe they are perfect and they certainly don’t want to tell anyone of the mistakes they have made because they think it makes them appear weak; but in reality, weakness lies in not being truthful with yourself and sharing that wisdom with others, especially the next generation – whether it be your own children, nieces and nephews, siblings, cousins, friends, etc. Continue reading

Winnebago County Democrats “TARGET” Police

Winnebago County Democrats “TARGET” Police

Anti-life, Anti-American

DEM WC Full shotProLifeCorner- Editorial: The Winnebago County Democrat Party, soon after five police officers were murdered in Dallas, posted (on their Facebook page) a vicious cartoon slandering police officers in the city of Chicago.

This offensive cartoon paints the majority of police officers in the city of Chicago as cold blooded killers. This type of inflammatory anti-police hate speech has led to officers being murdered around the country.

It is interesting to note that Chicago is the most gun controlled city in the country, that is responsible citizens can barely own a gun. However, terrorist/gang members have arsenals of weapons. The only protection that the citizens have is the local police force. It is a fact the Democrats removed guns from the hands of honest citizens in Chicago via their radical gun control laws. Publishing hate filled cartoons can only make the situation worse because the terrorists are the only ones who have guns. Continue reading

Are You Singing a Little Louder?

Are You Singing a Little Louder?

ProLifeCorner-   Our readers often send us many wonderful comments on one article or another.  However one comment, in particular, stood out.  We feel it is so good we want to be sure everyone has a chance to read it and ponder the truth of it.

sing-a-little-louder-cover-art[1]We thank Gail for the time and knowledge it took to send us this work, but we especially thank her for her many years of dedication in counseling at an abortion mill.  May God richly bless her and all pro-life counselors for their selfless work.

Are You Singing a Little Louder?

By Gail H. “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing,” said Edmund Burke. As a sidewalk counselor for many years, I am sick (to death) of all of the excuses given by so-called “Christian pro-lifers” when asked to pray near an abortion mill. If asked if they would die for Christ, they would go on and on about how they would do anything for Christ. Somehow I find that hard to believe, since they cannot even come out to pray just for a few minutes near the abortion mill. They have all sorts of complaints. They complain about the heat or cold or rain or snow, yet will stand outside in the church parking lot for at least 30 minutes or more in all kinds of weather, probably while talking about how valiant they are and how they want to die for Christ. Being “Neutral” Only Helps The Oppressors

Being “Neutral” Only Helps The Oppressors

ProLifeCorner.com – 8-6-2016 – by Rockford Pro-Life Initiative – The first thing that needs to be understood is the passage of SB 1564 means health care professionals and Pregnancy Care Centers starting January 1, 2017 will be legally bound to help any mother who wants to murder her baby find an abortion mill as well as tell her of the benefits of abortion. This is wrong and we know it.

That is why many were confused when the Catholic Bishops came out as “neutral” concerning this deadly law but this statement from the Illinois Catholic Conference and the Catholic Health Association tell the sad story.

“We reached an agreement with the bill’s sponsor that reflects the current medical practices in Catholic hospitals. Catholic health care ethicists and Catholic hospital lawyers participated in the negotiations.”

dante-hottest-place-in-hellCatholic hospitals have already been giving pregnant mothers information on where she can have the beating heart of her child stopped and the child’s tiny body crushed by an abortionist. In a Catholic Hospital, it appears from this statement above, all you have to do is ask where to get an abortion and you will be given contact information. Continue reading

A Catholic Bishops Elucidation

A Catholic Bishops Elucidation

CL 915 300xPro-Life Corner – 8-4-2016 – by Rockford Pro-Life Initiative – The pro-abortion Catholic politicians voted to mandate contraception coverage, and I refuse to discipline them –   Because I don’t want to seem judgmental.

The pro-abortion Catholic politicians voted to approve Supreme Court Justices who make it legal to kill babies in the womb and I didn’t discipline them –   Because I don’t want to be accused of being political.

The pro-abortion Catholic politicians like Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden and Tim Kaine use the media to teach Catholics that abortion and homosexuality are good things and I won’t discipline them –  Because people might think I am meddling in their personal lives.

The pro-abortion Catholic politicians vote to destroy marriage and force us to approve of homosexuality and I won’t discipline them – Because if I did the billions of dollars Catholic Relief Services receives from the Government might be in jeopardy. Continue reading

My Great Blessing in Suffering

My great blessing in suffering

ProLifeCorner.com – 8-1-2016 – by Staff –   We know many of our readers look forward to articles from Mark Pickup, one of the valiant pro=life leaders in both Canada and the United States.  This article truly educates all of us on suffering and the value of suffering.  As you may know, Mark has been dealing with MS for over 30 years.  His perspective is one of faith, courage, and great wisdom.  At one point or another all of us have suffered in some way during our lives.  We here at the Pro Life Corner have personal knowledge of people who are suffering from cancer or other terrible illnesses and who are doing so with such dignity and joy, yes joy, for life.  They value their suffering and offer it to our Lord, who suffered so much for all of us.  If a book on great courage and faith were to be written today, we know Mark and our other friends would surely be included in it.  Continue reading
