Such a strong turnout clearly showed the people of Rockford are against a bubble zone that would not allow any help to be offered to mothers who enter Rockford's abortion Mill. Many of the pro-lifers wore red tape over their mouth or on their shirts, with the word “Life” printed on it indicating that this immoral law would suppress their rights to free speech. This should not and cannot be tolerated.
In a Rockford Register Star editorial promoting the abortion clinic bubble zone that contained only a small part of the story, they clearly misled the public by leaving out essential information.
The Register said there have been 128 calls to police concerning this abortion clinic. That is true but they forgot to mention that not a single one of these calls was from a mother entering this clinic complaining about the sidewalk counselors. Most of these calls have come from pro-lifers who have complained to police about the signs in the clinic building windows saying people with the HIV virus are going to "rot away" and die, the rubber chickens hanging by nooses in the windows that have offended African Americans, rubber chickens covering the body of Jesus Christ on a crucifix in the window of this clinic building, signs mocking Jesus Christ and threatening Christians, and the sickening sign this clinic building displayed last summer that said "NIWC 50,000 - JC 50"
The clinic building had this sign in the window as a celebration when they reached the 50,000th abortion mark. The sign clearly claims that the 50,000 children who have died inside the abortion clinic are their victory over Jesus Christ. (The abortion clinic has admitted to the killing of 50,000 babies; the actual figure is probably higher. But using an average figure of $600 per abortion (abortions were less a few years ago, this is just a reasonable average price) the clinic on Broadway and 10th would have brought in at least $30,000,000.00.) One wonders just how much of the money has been paid in federal, state, and local taxes.)
In the Register Star editorial they claim that the free speech rights of people offering help to mothers entering this killing center should be taken away and this clinic should be able to continue mocking and attacking freely the people of Rockford and God.
We hear much talk about the eight foot barrier between the counselors and the mother; that isn’t even close to the truth. Read the actual wording of the legislation below. The enforcement of the proposed law will open the city up to countless lawsuits and damages, which could have a serious effect not only on the treasury of the city but on the morale and good will of its citizens.
The proposed legislation reads: “No person shall knowingly approach another person or vehicle within eight feet of such person or vehicle, unless such other person consents, for the purpose of passing a leaflet or handbill to, displaying a sign to, or engaging in oral protest, education or counseling with such other person or vehicle in the public way or sidewalk within the radius of one hundred feet from any entrance door to a health care facility.”
Please respectfully contact the Register Star and let them know you are disappointed in their lack of honesty and their covering up for Rockford's abortion mill.

Thu, 02/04/2010 - 5:38pm — Debbie Brochard (not verified)Great job. Thank you for posting this, if an alderman votes for this bubble zone after this they are nuts.
They should be looking for ways to close this hate filled killing center down.

I wonder if the abortionist will respond with another rubber chicken. That's about as all he can do.
If you are pro-life, why
Sun, 02/21/2010 - 9:39am — Anonymous (not verified)If you are pro-life, why aren't you advocating for Universal health care, an end to war, and offering to drive drunks home from the bars on Broadway when they are too impaired to operate a motor vehicle? Why don't you demonstrate, within the law, and cease the bullhorn on the ladder approach to counseling?
Editor's Note; Thank you for your comments. Now to set the record straight:
One, universal health care as it is now proposed, would force all taxpayers to pay even more for abortions (taxpayers are now paying over $300 million tax dollars yearly, unwillingly, to Planned Parenthood).
Two: When our nation was attacked on 9/11 it became necessary to prevent further attacks. None of us like war, but self defense is sometimes a necessity.
Three: As far as driving home drunks or drug addicts, these people should not be using such products and impairing their judgement. They should follow the law, as you are saying we pro-lifers should do. The police should be alert and arrest those who are driving drunk and fine or jail them.
Four: No one at the clinic is using a bullhorn. A bullhorn is an amplified electronic device. The pro-life advocate in question was using a rolled up piece of cardboard, properly called a megaphone. As far as standing on a ladder, give me a city code that the man violated. No noise ordinance or any other city ordinance was violated that day. That is why the police did not bring charges. If anyone violated any ordinance they would be arrested quickly by the police sitting across the street from the abortion mill. Perhaps the question should be why don't they bring charges against the building owner for using loudspeakers to play obnoxious "music" and other kinds of amplified noise? This has been documented on video.
We hope this will clarify some of your obvious confusion and lack of truthful facts.
Sincerely
ED.
Who says that we aren't
Tue, 02/23/2010 - 9:15pm — Anonymous (not verified)Who says that we aren't already doing this? And if they are would you really care, I'm sure you would find something else to find at fault over than that terrible and frightening rolled up cardboard "bullhorn." SCARY!
Why don't you just try a better argument because yours is very silly as it stands. Thank you prolifecorner for busting this persons chops in a very Christian like manner.
God bless you all!
