O Lord, be gracious unto us; we have waited for thee; be thou their arm every morning our salvation also in the time of trouble. What a great story of life. Again these Priests of Rockford are meeting the challange of the people who kill babies and are defeating them with prayer and love.

Looking at the pictures that are with the story say it all. Clergy and people reverently at prayer means God is present.

One of the good things that comes from the horrific evil of children being murdered in Rockford is many people are standing for life. The Body of Christ is fighting this evil. God does and will bring good out of this evil.

God be with and bless the Holy Priests and good people of Rockford. You are standing tall and strong, in humility and love against the "wicknedness and snares of the devil."

This story is another example of the good that happens when Christians humble themselves before God, pray, and work for the good of their neighbor. Babies lives were saved and very possibly souls may have been saved as well.

Please pray to change the hearts of our law enforcement and politicians. The article did not mention that there was a canine police unit, 2 police cars and an unmarked police car that were present at the abortion mill that morning. That adds up to one law enforcer for each priest present. For some reason, they did nothing about the profanities being displayed in the windows of this "business". I can't understand why our tax dollars are being spent to provide 4 squad cars including a canine and a detective to watch priests pray when our law enforcers can be doing some real good elsewhere.

ED:  An excellent question!  Maybe the mayor has an answer.  Perhaps we should ask him, respectfully of course, why taxpayer money is being spent watching priests pray when there is such a high crime rate in the city.

A Simple Exorcism for Priests or Laity Prayer Against Satan and the Rebellious Angels Published by Order of His Holiness Pope Leo XIII 

The following is a simple exorcism prayer that can be said by priests or laity. The term “exorcism” does not always denote a solemn exorcism involving a person possessed by the devil. In general, the term denotes prayers to “curb the power of the devil and prevent him from doing harm.” As St. Peter had written in Holy Scripture, “your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, goeth about seeking whom he may devour.” (1 St.Peter 5,8) The Holy Father exhorts priests to say this prayer as often as possible, as a simple exorcism to curb the power of the devil and prevent him from doing harm. The faithful also may say it in their own name, for the same purpose, as any approved prayer. Its use is recommended whenever action of the devil is suspected, causing malice in men, violent temptations and even storms and various calamities. It could be used as a solemn exorcism (an official and public ceremony, in Latin), to expel the devil. It would then be said by a priest, in the name of the Church and only with a Bishop's permission.

- Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen. Most glorious Prince of the Heavenly Armies, Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in “our battle against principalities and powers, against the rulers of this world of darkness, against the spirits of wickedness in the high places” (Eph., 6,12). Come to the assistance of men whom God has created to His likeness and whom He has redeemed at a great price from the tyranny of the devil. Holy Church venerates thee as her guardian and protector; to thee, the Lord has entrusted the souls of the redeemed to be led into heaven. Pray therefore the God of Peace to crush Satan beneath our feet, that he may no longer retain men captive and do injury to the Church. Exorcism In the Name of Jesus Christ, our God and Lord, strengthened by the intercession of the Immaculate Virgin Mary, Mother of God, of Blessed Michael the Archangel, of the Blessed Apostles Peter and Paul and all the Saints. (and powerful in the holy authority of our ministry)*, we confidently undertake to repulse the attacks and deceits of the devil. * Lay people omit the parenthesis above. Psalm 67 God arises; His enemies are scattered and those who hate Him flee before Him. Give place to Christ in Whom you have found none of your works; give place to the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church acquired by Christ at the price of His Blood. Stoop beneath the all-powerful Hand of God; tremble and flee when we invoke the Holy and terrible Name of Jesus, this Name which causes hell to tremble, this Name to which the Virtues, Powers and Dominations of heaven are humbly submissive, this Name which the Cherubim and Seraphim praise unceasingly repeating: Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord, the God of Hosts. V. O Lord, hear my prayer. R. And let my cry come unto Thee. V. May the Lord be with thee. R. And with thy spirit. Let us pray. God of heaven, God of earth, God of Angels, God of Archangels, God of Patriarchs, God of Prophets, God of Apostles, God of Martyrs, God of Confessors, God of Virgins, God who has power to give life after death and rest after work: because there is no other God than Thee and there can be no other, for Thou art the Creator of all things, visible and invisible, of Whose reign there shall be no end, we humbly prostrate ourselves before Thy glorious Majesty and we beseech Thee to deliver us by Thy power from all the tyranny of the infernal spirits, from their snares, their lies and their furious wickedness. Deign, O Lord, to grant us Thy powerful protection and to keep us safe and sound. We beseech Thee through Jesus Christ Our Lord. Amen. V. From the snares of the devil, R. Deliver us, O Lord. V. That Thy Church may serve Thee in peace and liberty: R. We beseech Thee to hear us. V. That Thou may crush down all enemies of Thy Church: R. We beseech Thee to hear us. (Holy water is sprinkled in the place where we may be.)

Laity often assist in religious demonology work, sometimes as investigators, doctors, mental health professionals, prayer support or concerned family members. Extreme caution about who is allowed to be exposed to the demonic is called for. The young, the mentally ill, the spiritually un-grounded all should not be exposed to this strain.

Are laymen allowed to assist at exorcisms? What role does the laity have in deliverance? Should they cast out demons themselves? To an extent, says Rome's official exorcist, Father Gabriel Amorth, the answer to each of those queries is a surprising -- to some, even a shocking -- "yes." Laymen have a large role in the actual rooting out of evil. This is an area that deserves great caution, and let us note immediately that a full-scale exorcism can only be conducted by a priest with the permission of a local bishop. In severe cases, the Church should immediately be consulted; the stole of the priest is a tremendous protection. Without it, there can be danger. But that doesn't exclude the laity from active spiritual deliverance, according to Father Amorth, the world's most famous exorcist. "A lay person who prays for deliverance from demons offers a private prayer, calling upon the common priesthood of the faithful and the power granted by Christ to all believers," says Father Amorth. "The priest who prays for the same purpose also recites a private prayer. Everything being equal, it is more efficacious than the first, because he calls upon his ministerial priesthood and his mandate to bless. When an exorcist administers an exorcism, the efficacy is greater still, because he is practicing a sacramental, which is a public prayer, invoking the intercessory power of the entire Church. "However," adds Amorth, "let us be clear on this: The Lord takes faith into account. Therefore, a simple prayer of a lay person, even though it is private, could be more efficacious than the prayer of anyone else." Father Amorth cites the example of Saint Catherine of Siena: When an exorcist could not liberate a demoniac, he would send the afflicted person to her. "Then the saint would pray and obtain liberation," writes Amorth. "Her prayer was not an exorcism; she was neither an exorcist nor a priest. But she was a saint!" As Father Amorth notes, it all comes down to faith: Christ Himself admonished His followers to cast out spirits, but He also pointed to a lack of faith as the reason they weren't always able to succeed. It is faith that is our shield. It is our faith that unlocks the power of God -- which readily overcomes all evil.

Dr. D. James Kennedy, of Coral Ridge Ministry, has published a booklet entitled "The Formidable Christ." In his booklet Dr. Kennedy states, "There was much more to Jesus than is portrayed in most of our churches today. We do not see Jesus as formidable, but merely ‘Gentle Jesus, meek and mild.’ We have turned His meekness to weakness and His gentleness to fear. There was something formidable about Christ," Kennedy writes. "He could look into the hearts of people and read their thoughts, and there was something about His purity and holiness that seemed to be seen in every glance of His eye. He would look into the face of a man who was about to stretch out his hand and take Him, and the man would freeze with fear."

Christ sees into the hearts of those inside the Rockford abortion mill and knows the evil that they do. May Christ bless and build-up all of you in Rockford who are standing against this deadly evil.
