Pro-Life MemorialThe Sanctity of Life Memorialis located in a lovely pastoral setting at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, just south of Freeport, IL on highway 26. It is situated on the back side of the chapel on the south side of the Gardens. The place of healing: it truly is “The healing place”. This memorial is dedicated to all who have lost a baby to miscarriage, sudden death syndrome (SIDS) or abortion. We recognize the fact that abortion, miscarriage, and SIDS not only effect the mother and father, but other children in the family, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and friends who love the mother and who mourn with her. The pain of loss will never go away unless it is given to our Lord Who understands all. No matter the circumstances involved in the loss of the baby, miscarriage, SIDS, or the intentional taking of the baby’s life through abortion, healing can take place. Abortion can be forgiven by our Lord Who is love and forgiveness itself. One might say, yes, but I can’t forgive myself. It’s hard but you must. We are given many examples of how much our Lord loves us and how far He will go to forgive. A few of our favorite examples are:
One might say that was 2000 years ago, that’s not now. True. So what? Jesus Christ is the same today as yesterday, 2000 years ago, today, right now, His love and forgiveness is timeless and knows no bounds. Lord help me forgive myself because I trust in your forgiveness.
