Understand well that what happens in America influences the world. Whoever we vote for will have a direct bearing on our lives for the next four or eight years. He may appoint two or three Supreme Court justices and could allow or restrict tax payer funding of abortion even against the will of the people! He may put the brakes on the filth that comes into our living rooms on network TV or further the decline in morality. The next president may limit pornography or allow it to expand beyond its reach and addiction, lower the age of consent, allowing sex slavery in the U.S. to flourish. Vote wisely!
We have before us two roads and God is going to hold us accountable. There are many sites that list the voting record of each candidate as well as voting guides. We cannot plead ignorance. God is not blind nor can we fool Him. He knows our every action. To vote for the economy or because of a slick campaign without checking the facts, allowing evil to prevail will be answerable when we stand before God! “This is a big moment for Catholic and all other Christians voters to step back from their party affiliation and ask: Are any of the candidates of either party, or independents, standing for something that is intrinsically evil, evil no matter what the circumstances? If that’s the case, a Christian, regardless of his party affiliation, shouldn’t be voting for such a person.” Baltimore archbishop William E. Lori
