On Friday November 20, an estimated 15 children died inside of Rockford’s abortion mill.  In what appeared to be a pathetic celebration by the abortion facility of the increased numbers of abortions today they put up a sign in the window that said N.I.W.C 500,000 – Bishop and Protesters 50 – attached to this sign near the number 50 was a small picture of Jesus with a child in his arms.

Last summer we video taped one of the abortion clinic staff members bragging that they make $500,000 doing abortions.  It seems this sign is their attempt to inform the public that they have make a lot of money off of abortions and the protesters and Jesus (pictured with the child in his arms) have only saved 50.

We have seen all this before at this abortion facility. Their counting the 50,000 abortions they have done as a victory over Jesus and then bragging about the money made off of the misery of women and children that it hardly seems worth mentioning again.  But this should be a reminder to us all of the evil we are facing, of the horror of abortion in the city of Rockford.  In the heart of our city we have a killing center that mocks God as it destroys human life – this should and must be a call to all of us to pray constantly and fast for an end to this evil in our city.

For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Mark 8:36

Thankfully the presence of 15 to 20 Christians in prayer on the sidewalk most of the morning may, through the grace of God, have played a part in two mothers who left the mill before the abortionist arrived.  As one of the cars was leaving the young father smiled, waved, and had the look of a person who’s child life has just been spared.

On Wednesday November 25,  An estimated 11 children died inside of Rockford’s abortion mill.  Christians prayed outside of the killing center this morning so no child died alone or unloved.

The mission of Rockford Pro-Life Initiative is to eliminate abortion in the Rockford area through Prayer, Fasting, Education and Personal Sacrifice.

We Have Much to be Thankful For: CHRIST and LIFE

Giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Eph 5:20

Rockford IL, November 2009 – Everyone associated with the Rockford Pro-Life Initiative has so much to be thankful to God for.  In the past year many lives have been touched by the prayers and generosity of the pro-life community of Rockford it is difficult to put into words the gift of love all of you have been for mothers and children in need.

Rejoice always. Pray without ceasing. In all circumstances give thanks, for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.  1 thess 5:18

One recent incident is an example of the overflowing generous love of our God that we should all be encouraged by and thankful for.  A member of the Rockford Pro-Life Initiative received a late light phone call last Monday evening Nov 16, concerning a young mother who was scheduled for an abortion in a couple of days at the Northern Illinois Woman’s Center.  We immediately got word to the young mother that pro-life Christians  throughout Rockford would be more than willing to help her in anyway she needed.  Through email and phone calls hundreds of people began to pray for both mother and child.  We also asked her to go to RockfordProLife.com and watch the videos about the Rockford abortion mill. We didn’t hear anything for almost a week.

Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever!  Psalm 118

At 7:30am a week later, this Monday morning Nov 23, the phone rang and an excited woman on the other end announced, "she didn’t have the abortion!"  She went on to say the young mother just couldn’t believe that people were willing to help her and that so many hundreds of people were praying for her.  The young mother also went to the web-site and watched two videos that also played a part in her choosing life.  The video of Lisa’s testimony outside the Rockford abortion mill "Lisa’s Baby Died Here" and the video "Signs of Evil" helped this young mother who’s child was scheduled to die inside of Rockford’s abortion mill realize that abortion is not what she thought it was.

Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.  Philippians 4:6

This Thanksgiving we have much to be thankful for – Jesus Christ our Savior and the life he has given all of us.  And we here at the Rockford Pro-Life Initiative are also very thankful for everyone of you who prays and works for the lives of the least of Christ’s people in Rockford.  May God bless you and your families.

"Manhattan Declaration" Embodies U.S. Christian Pushback against Abortion, Same-Sex "Marriage"
Drafted by Dr. Robert George, Dr. Timothy George and Chuck Colson , signed by 125 religious leaders

WASHINGTON, D.C., November 20, 2009 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A group of prominent Christian leaders and scholars unveiled a manifesto Friday declaring firm opposition to current and future laws infringing upon the sanctity of life, marriage, faith, and liberty.
The 4,700-word  "Manhattan Declaration: A Call of Christian Conscience" was drafted by Dr. Robert George, Dr. Timothy George and Chuck Colson and signed by more than 125 Orthodox, Catholic and evangelical Christian leaders, including Focus on the Family Dr. James Dobson and National Association of Evangelicals president Leith Anderson.  15 Roman Catholic bishops, including Archbishop Timothy Dolan of New York and Archbishop Donald Wuerl of Washington, D.C., were among the signatories.

The declaration issues a clarion call to Christians to adhere to their convictions and informs civil authorities that the signers will not – under any circumstance – abandon their Christian consciences.

For more information:  http://www.manhattandeclaration.org/

"We are Christians who have joined together across historic lines of ecclesial differences to affirm our right – and, more importantly, to embrace our obligation – to speak and act in defense of these truths," reads the declaration.

"We pledge to each other, and to our fellow believers, that no power on earth, be it cultural or political, will intimidate us into silence or acquiescence."

The document lays out the groups’ arguments against anti-life, anti-family, and anti-religious public policy as contravening "foundational principles of justice and the common good," in defense of which the group says they are "compelled by our Christian faith to speak and act."

In asserting Christians’ right to conscientious objection to such policy, the declaration says it is "ironic" that those who advance as "rights" various immoral practices "are very often in the vanguard of those who would trample upon the freedom of others to express their religious and moral commitments to the sanctity of life and to the dignity of marriage."

"Because we honor justice and the common good, we will not comply with any edict that purports to compel our institutions to participate in abortions, embryo-destructive research, assisted suicide and euthanasia, or any other anti-life act; nor will we bend to any rule purporting to force us to bless immoral sexual partnerships, treat them as marriages or the equivalent, or refrain from proclaiming the truth, as we know it, about morality and immorality and marriage and the family," it concludes.

"We will fully and ungrudgingly render to Caesar what is Caesar’s.  But under no circumstances will we render to Caesar what is God’s."
Co-author Timothy George, who is founding dean of Beeson Divinity School of Samford University and a senior editor of Christianity Today, said the Manhattan Declaration "represents an ecumenism of the trenches that has been going on for a number of years among many denominations and confessional traditions."

"While we recognize that many important differences of doctrine and discipline still divide us, we nonetheless earnestly seek that unity for which Jesus prayed when he asked that his disciples be one in their love for God, for one another, and for the world," said George.
On his radio show BreakPoint Wednesday, Evangelical leader Chuck Colson called the Manhattan Declaration "probably the most important document I’ve ever signed."

Woman’s Lawsuit: She Yelled Stop, Practitioner Continued With Forced Abortion
Flint, MI (LifeNews.com) – Alberto Hodari owns six abortion centers in Michigan and LifeNews.com has delivered multiple reports on how he has three of them up for sale. A new lawsuit from a woman who says he forced her to have an abortion could explain why Hodari is quickly moving to divest himself of his abortion business.

Hodari, who has killed at least two women in botched abortions, put a for sale sign on his Flint, Michigan center last week and also on his facilities in Livonia and Southgate.

Today, Operation Rescue president Troy Newman provided LifeNews.com with more details of the lawsuit based on the records filed in court.
Bruce filed a suit against Hodari and his assistant, "Victor" on June 17 over an incident that took place at Hodari’s Flint abortion center in April 2008. Bruce alleges that she went to Hodari’s clinic seeking an abortion, but, before the abortion began, she changed her mind, decided against it and told Hodari. However, Hodari and his assistant forcibly restrained Bruce and held her down, according to her suit.

Bruce screamed "Stop, stop, I don’t want this," but her mouth was covered to muffle her pleas while Hodari forced her to have the abortion. Full story at LifeNews.com

Victim of Forced Abortion Says Practitioner Hodari "Ripped the Life" Out of Her
Flint, MI (LifeNews.com) – Caitlin Bruce is the victim of a forced abortion that saw abortion practitioner Alberto Hodari and a staffer forcibly restrain her as she screamed no. Now, Bruce has given an interview to a local television station where she describes how Hodari and his associate "ripped the life" out of her.
"He told his assistant, you know, ‘Hold her down.’ You know? They had my arm pinned, his weight was all on my chest, and then he took his hand and he had it so tight on my mouth that it was muffled," she told WJRT. "I was screaming and crying." "It felt like they were ripping a life out of me," she said.
Bruce described how she was just 18-years-old at the time of the abortion and six months pregnant when she went to Hodari’s Feminine Health Care Clinic abortion center in Flint last year.
"I was nervous and I really didn’t have the moral support I needed. And I just didn’t know what to do," Bruce told the ABC television station. Full story at LifeNews.com
