ProLifeCorner- Freeport Illinois- By Frank Munda- We recently celebrated Independence Day, 2015. As I look back on my many years here on Earth I have had many joys and many sorrows, and yes many regrets; regrets of things that I did and things that I failed to do. God has blessed me with a wonderful wife, awesome children who married wonderful spouses, and they in turn have been blessed with wonderful children themselves.
There have been dark times as well. The darkness of Vietnam had just slipped away from the consciousness of many American citizens when the greatest travesty of injustice came upon the scene; when an activist controlled Supreme Court illegally and immorally created law declaring that a mother now had the right to kill her baby through abortion. Many of our young readers are probably not even aware that what occurred in January of 1973 was an illegal move by the Supreme Court. The three branches of government, Legislative, Judicial, and Executive are supposed to be checks and balances. The Judicial branch of the government is to rule on existing laws or proposed laws presented by the Legislative branch of the government. This was not the case in January 1973. Through Roe versus Wade and Doe versus Bolton, the Supreme Court created law; a law that states a woman has a right to kill her baby in what should be the safest place in the world- the mothers womb. ProLifeCorner.com- Pastor Timothy Barr’s homily today cautions us to not to interpret reality through our emotions. He explains that passions are not a bad thing but they must be guided by the truth. That truth is Jesus Christ. When we are obedient to the truth there is great joy. He further stated that the man is the head of the family but the woman is the heart of the family sharing equal responsibility and, hopefully through their teachings and actions, are leading their children to heaven. Rockford, Il – (ProLifeCorner.com) – 12-4-14 – by Staff – Sadly it has become all too clear. The new Archbishop of Chicago has a history of banning Priests from praying at abortion clinics. Now in his position as head of the Archdiocese he has publicly declared he will disobey Cannon law and openly welcome unrepentant pro-abortion politicians to receive the Body of Christ. ProLifeCorner- 10-14-2014 – Below is a wonderful homily sent to us by a friend. It explains the parable of the king’s wedding banquet simply and completely and gives the reader much to ponder. Please take a few minutes to read it-you will certainly not regret doing so. Continue reading →

Rockford, Il – (ProLifeCorner.com) – 5-20 -2014 – by Rockford Pro-Life Initiative - In Chuck Sweeny’s recent column in the Rockford Register Star titled ‘Predicting fallout of GOP vote leader” , about Winnebago County Republican Chairman Jim Thompson’s joke calling President Obama an ass, Mr. Sweeny seems outraged that Mr. Thompson is still allowed to keep his job after making this comment. Mr.Sweeny also quoted Rep. Chuck Jefferson who was outraged by what he thought was an inappropriate joke. Continue reading →
EDITOR’S NOTE: The following “letter” is presented in the form of satire in the hope of making the point that a Catholic hospital that allows known abortionists on the staff is totally ludicrous, hypocritical, scandalous, and shameful at best.
La Crosse WI.- (ProLifeCorner.com) – 5-10-2014 – by Rockford Pro-Life Initiative – To my reasonable Bishop Callahan and Sisters of Perpetual Adoration, Thank you for having Dr. Rose on staff at Franciscan Mayo Hospital. I know some religious extremists call Dr. Rose an abortionist, but we can all admit he is a professional and efficient at preventing the hearts of children in the womb from beating. We have never heard of him botching even one abortion. This kind of efficiency and professionalism is hard to find. A true hallmark of Franciscan Health Care. Continue reading →
Recent surveys indicate that many if not most Americans are unhappy with the directions their country is taking. More and more people are asking why? Those doing the research are suggesting that we have caused most of our own problems by turning away from basic Christianity.
We have turned our back on God by giving up on good and evil while replacing them with relativism. We have made a mockery of Jesus Christ’s suffering and death by replacing sin with selfishness. And, we have ceased to be concerned for others and have replaced responsibilities with rights. In short, we have moved away from the moral guidance of God, church, husbands and fathers. Freeport IL.- ProLifeCorner.com- By Frank Munda- 2-19-2014- Benjamin Franklin said “We must all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately.” Thomas Paine wrote “These are the times that try men’s souls.” Even though these quotes came from heroes of the Revolutionary War, it can apply to this moment in America’s history. Up until 9/11, all attacks on American religious freedom and our way of life has been from external sources; not so anymore. For the past 6 years the Obama administration has waged open warfare on Catholics and all other Christians. These attacks are well documented, so therefore it is not necessary for me to recap them in this article. Continue reading →
