Thank You, Dear Bishop And Good Sisters

EDITOR’S NOTE:  The following “letter” is presented in the form of satire in the hope of making the point that a Catholic hospital that allows  known abortionists on the staff is totally ludicrous, hypocritical, scandalous, and shameful at best.

La Crosse WI.-  (ProLifeCorner.com) – 5-10-2014 – by Rockford Pro-Life Initiative – To my reasonable Bishop Callahan and Sisters of Perpetual Adoration, Thank you for having Dr. Rose on staff at Franciscan Mayo Hospital. I know some religious extremists call Dr. Rose an abortionist, but we can all admit he is a professional and efficient at preventing the hearts of children in the womb from beating. We have never heard of him botching even one abortion. This kind of efficiency and professionalism is hard to find. A true hallmark of Franciscan Health Care. Continue reading

What’s Really Going On At Franciscan Health Care?

Rockford, Il – (ProLifeCorner.com) – 4 – 28 –2014 –  by Rockford Pro-Life Initiative -    The administration of Mayo Clinic-Franciscan Healthcare LaCrosse, WI. has made a conscious decision to allow an abortionist on the staff of a Catholic Hospital and to allow doctors under their authority to tell mothers they have the right to kill their babies in the womb.  Why would a “Catholic” hospital participate in and make possible the murder of children like this? With the Easter season upon us commemorating the suffering, death and resurrection of Christ, this might be a good time to ask ourselves why our society is headed downhill at breakneck speed? Rebuild My Church!

ProLifeCorner.com- by Larry Plachno- While some people are speculating on why our new pontiff picked the name of Francis, those who know the story of St. Francis of Assisi are well aware of where our new Pope may be going.

St. Francis was known to spend time walking and meditating. One of his favorite paths passed the church of San Damiano, a dilapidated and usually deserted chapel on a steep hill surrounding Assisi. The most noteworthy feature of this nearly forgotten church was a large life-size painting of Christ on the cross. Continue reading

NY Times Survey of Catholics

Update-  March 6, 2013 – Bill Donohue comments on some of the findings from a survey of self-identified Catholics as reported in today’s New York Times: Whether someone who “attends Mass a few times a year or never” can be considered Catholic is debatable, but at any rate those responses make for interesting reading when compared to those who “attend Mass weekly.” The majority of weekly attendees have a favorable view of Pope Benedict XVI; only a quarter of those who rarely attend feel the same way. Regarding recent papal events, 72% of weekly attendees have been closely following the news stories, while only 35% of those who rarely attend have been doing so. Continue reading
