Winnebago County Democrats “TARGET” Police

Winnebago County Democrats “TARGET” Police

Anti-life, Anti-American

DEM WC Full shotProLifeCorner- Editorial: The Winnebago County Democrat Party, soon after five police officers were murdered in Dallas, posted (on their Facebook page) a vicious cartoon slandering police officers in the city of Chicago.

This offensive cartoon paints the majority of police officers in the city of Chicago as cold blooded killers. This type of inflammatory anti-police hate speech has led to officers being murdered around the country.

It is interesting to note that Chicago is the most gun controlled city in the country, that is responsible citizens can barely own a gun. However, terrorist/gang members have arsenals of weapons. The only protection that the citizens have is the local police force. It is a fact the Democrats removed guns from the hands of honest citizens in Chicago via their radical gun control laws. Publishing hate filled cartoons can only make the situation worse because the terrorists are the only ones who have guns. Continue reading

Guns, Abortion, Good and Evil

Guns, Abortion, Good and Evil

ProLifeCorner-   By Larry Plachno

Larry-150x1 blue      Guns have certainly been in the news lately. It seems like some type of violence connected to guns shows up every few days. My sympathies go out to all of the victims of this type of violence. If we all supported life from conception to grave we could eliminate much of this.

There are too many people who blame guns instead of the person holding the gun. The reason why our society is falling apart is because we have moved away from evaluating our actions and decisions as good and evil. People blame guns because they do not want to blame the shooter. Blaming the person holding the gun would admit that good and evil exist and that people should be responsible. And, if good and evil exist, then where do abortion, traditional marriage and supporting families stand in regard to good and evil? Continue reading

A New Challenge to Roe v. Wade

A New Challenge to Roe v. Wade

 ProLifeCorner-   By Larry Plachno

Many people braved the snow in Washington, D.C. in January to march for life. They Larry-150x1 bluewere there to show their unhappiness with the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court Decision of January 22, 1973 that made abortion the law of the land. There were other major marches elsewhere including Chicago and San Francisco timed to coincide with this 43rd anniversary of Roe v. Wade. Due to the bias of our mainstream media in ignoring pro-life news, most of the marchers were probably not aware that there has been a new challenge to Roe v. Wade.

This new development comes from a rather unexpected quarter. Involved is a joint resolution recently passed by the South Dakota state House of Representatives with a 60-10 vote and passed by the state Senate with a 25-9 vote. It was signed by the leaders of both chambers. Just prior to this Roe v. Wade anniversary, some of the South Dakota lawmakers presented this state resolution to the United States Supreme Court. In doing so they asked the high court to reconsider and overturn its abortion rulings including Roe v. Wade. Continue reading

Christianity and the Economy

Christianity and the Economy

ProLifeCorner- By Larry Plachno- An increasing number of people are noticing that as our society moves away from basic Christian principles, we all do worse and our economy has problems. Some of the more obvious items in the news are that Greece is struggling with its economy, numerous Americans are either unemployed or underemployed, and both Chicago and the State of Illinois are struggling financially. Chicago now has the highest sales tax in the nation while Illinois, in spite of recent tax increases, is more than a billion dollars behind in its pension funds and is seeing jobs and residents leave the stat

How does Christianity have a bearing on the economy? The first problem is that we have failed to understand the wisdom of Jesus Christ. The second is that we have failed to understand that Christianity is more than a religion and is divine guidance on how to best live our lives and how to best run our society. None of this is rocket science and is easy to understand. Continue reading

Poverty, Employment and Marriage

Poverty, Employment and Marriage. Love your neighbor by reducing poverty

ProLifeCorner-  By Larry Plachno

Jesus Christ admonished us to love our neighbor. One way of doing that is by reducing poverty in our country. There has been an increasing concern in recent years about the growing poverty in the United States, our decreasing middle class and fewer traditional families. Not unexpectedly, all of these are interconnected.

Numerous programs and plans have been suggested or put in place in recent decades to deal with these problems. They range from secular charity programs to the Catholic Campaign for Human Development administered by the United States Council of Catholic Bishops. However, many of these programs have come under fire because they tend to deal with the effects of the problem instead of dealing with the causes of poverty and trying to reduce or eliminate it. 40 days for Life Aurora and Beyond

ProLifeCorner- Aurora Illinois- by Staff-  40 days for Life Aurora and Beyond-

It is time once again for the 40 days for life campaign. God hears our prayers no matter where we are located. At home, in church, no matter where we are at, however there is something special about offering your prayers at an abortion clinic where the babies are being sacrificed. Not only does our Lord pay special attention to your prayers but your presence at an abortion clinic can often give an abortion minded mother the moral strength that she needs in order to choose life.
