Unless Truth be a Mockery and Justice a Hollow Lie
ProLifeCorner – 12-15-2015 – by Staff – Our latest cntribution from our friend in Canada, Mark Pickup, is one of his best ever-and that’s saying something! Mark will be speaking in Washington, DC at St. Matthew the Apostle Cathedral just prior to the 2016 March for Life.
Please take time to read his latest articfle and we think you’ll come away with the same feeling we have; it was a tribute and a Christmas gift of encouragement to all of us who work and pray for an end to abortion and euthanasia.
May God bless Mark and his family with many more years of their courage and wisdom.Continue reading →
ProLifeCorner- Today begins the second week of Advent. Many of us have seen the wreath with four candles that appear in many churches and homes across our country.
Many Christians look forward to the Advent season although some have no knowledge at all of what Advent is all about. We present this article in the hope that it will give us a better understanding of this beautiful practice leading us to the celebration of the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Advent is the preparatory season leading up to Christmas. Themes of readiness, watchfulness and anticipation mark these days of penitential and austere preparation before Christmas. The purpose of Advent is to prepare us for a deep, personal, life-changing, world-shaking encounter with Christ this Christmas. Continue reading →
ProLifeCorner- Editor- I know it might seem a little early to start talking about Nativity scenes but Christmas is just around the corner, and so are the Christmas Nazis. These Christian hating, Christmas Nazis have gotten away with too much for too long. That is why we are encouraging you to inform yourself and your friends as to our rights in this country. Thankfully, we have wonderful groups such as the Thomas More Society, and Alliance Defending Freedom on our side. Please forward this article to all on your mailing list. If you know of anyone whose freedoms are being attacked please share this information and encourage them to call the toll-free number or contact the Alliance at their website.
Nativity Scenes Are Legal!
You have a right to display a Nativity scene on your city, town, village and State Capitol public property!Continue reading →
ProLifeCorner- Today is a very special person’s birthday; Jesus our Lord! God has walked among us. He became one of us! He comes to save us in the form of a little baby. This baby can change your life! He really is in your life giving you grace if you recognize Him. But He wants change your life. He wants you to experience His love in a new way, in a way that can make you the person you want to be! Continue reading →
ProLifeCorner- The world is happy to let Jesus Christ be a baby in a manger, but not willing to let Him be the sovereign King and Lord that He is. Yet that is the central truth of the Christmas story: the Child of Christmas is God! Lots of people who would otherwise gladly embrace Jesus as Messiah, don’t want Him to be God.
• They will welcome Him as a son of David, but not as the Son of God.
• They don’t mind celebrating the birth of a baby, but they don’t want to hear about the Lord of lords.
• They sing of His nativity, but brazenly reject His authority.
• They adore Him as an infant, but will not pay homage to Him as the God-man.
• They can tolerate the trappings of Christmas, a manger, shepherds, wise men, Joseph and Mary, but they cannot bear the advent of God in human flesh.
• Consequently the world ignores the core of all Christmas truth.
• Instead of honoring Jesus at Christmas, they are actually mocking Him. Continue reading →
It has come to my attention that many of you are upset that folks are taking My name out of the season. How I personally feel about this celebration can be understood by those of you who have been blessed with children of your own. I don’t care what you call the day. If you want to celebrate My birth, just get along and love one another.
If it bothers you that your home town does not allow a Nativity scene, then just get rid of a couple of Santas and snowmen and put in a small Nativity scene on your front lawn. If all My followers did that, there wouldn’t be any need for such a scene on the town square because there would be many of them all around town.
Stop worrying that people are calling the tree a holiday tree, instead of a Christmas tree. It is I who make all trees. You can remember Me anytime you see any tree. Decorate a grape vine if you wish: I actually spoke of that once in a teaching, explaining who 1 am in relation to you and what each of our tasks are. If you have forgotten that one, look up John l5:l-8.
If you want to give Me a present in remembrance of My birth, here is my wish list. Continue reading →
Jesus is the Reason for the Season He is on His way- let us rejoice and be glad in the Lord.
ProLifeCorner- We “always feel it an obligation to remind people about the reason for the season of Advent and Christmas. Do not get caught up too much in the presents, sales gimmicks, pressures to have to have the perfect Christmas. Jesus gave us the greatest present we could ever have Received – his very self. Because God became man, we can know that He wants to be with us all the time. How much time do you spend with Him? Could you spend more time with Him this season?” Continue reading →
ProLifeCorner.com- Easter 2014- Jesus’ Resurrection Is Real!“If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith “1 Corinthian 15:13-14. The same way that the world has secularized and commercialized our Christmas celebration, so it is with the Christian proclamation of the risen Jesus. The world has upstaged this solemn, holy and glorious celebration with the end of college basketball, the beginning of professional baseball, or by the Easter bunny, marshmallow chicks, or chocolate rabbits.
