ProLifeCorner- By Larry Plachno- Why does the Main Stream Media Censor News? This question came up recently in regard to the videos showing Planned Parenthood selling baby body parts. Anyone who looks at the situation knows that the Main Stream Media regularly ignores, censors and bends the news to suit its own agenda and morals. But the really interesting question is not what they do but why they do it. Give me a few minutes of your time and I will explain the “why.”
The examples of this are far too numerous to mention. Recently, the most glaring example is that while the videos came out showing Planned Parenthood selling baby body parts for profit, sometimes cut from babies still breathing, most of the networks were concerned about Cecil the lion. We regularly hear about endangered species of animals and the work being done to increase their numbers. But, the MSM has little to say about nationalities whose numbers drop in half each generation because they have turned away from marriage and family. And, don’t hold your breath waiting for the MSM to do a program on how the best indicator that someone will end up in prison is being raised without the guidance of a father. Continue reading →
What prompted our interest in this comparison was a recent claim that abortion was different from the holocaust of World War II and other types of genocide. However, when you actually sit down and do a comparison, it becomes obvious that abortion is not only glaringly similar to the holocaust but also similar to other examples of genocide in history.
This is an obvious situation of asking the wrong question and getting the wrong answer. The primary question here is not a list of groups that you and I think are inferior or less than human. Unfortunately, almost no one cares what we think. You and I do not get thousands of calls each day from people asking us our opinion of what groups they should consider to be inferior or less than human. Continue reading →
ProLifeCorner-By Larry Plachno- It was 150 years ago, on April 9, 1865, that General Robert E. Lee surrendered to Lieutenant General Ulysses S. Grant at Appomattox Court House, Virginia after finding his troops surrounded and outnumbered. This ended the Civil War. Or did it? Some people suggest that this same battle continues today in other forms.
Many people will acknowledge that the bloody battle was fought over whether people could declare a group to be inferior or less than human. Slavery was legal in the early days of the United States of America. The 1787 Constitutional Convention witnessed the famous “Three-fifths Compromise” whereby slaves would be counted as only three-fifths of a person for determining representation and taxation. ProLifeCorner.com- 7-13-2013- by Larry Plachno- July 1-3 of 2013 marked 150 years since the Battle of Gettysburg. It was one of the bloodiest battles of the Civil War, leaving more than 6,650 dead, another 32,000 wounded and nearly 12,000 captured or missing. The Civil War was the worst of American conflicts, exceeding World War I and World War II as well as other battles and wars in the number of deaths. A total of two percent of the population of the United States, approximately 620,000 people, lost their lives in the Civil War. Continue reading →
