Come to the Life Chain on October 1 from 12:00 to 1:00 PM this Sunday! The location is at the corner of Stephenson and West.
The Aquin High School Pro-life group, PAWS, will sponsor a Life Chain in Freeport, IL. A dedicated group of Christians gathered at the intersection of Stephenson and West Streets to pray for an end to abortion.
This event is a non-denominational Christ centered effort to bring attention, in our local communities, to the plight of the unborn. Ask your pastor to encourage everyone to participate in this simple but worthwhile effort to help save babies.
ProLifeCorner.com – Freeport Il.- Louise and Roger Nilles live in a modest home in the shadow of a high rise apartment. Roger and Louise are a loving couple who have worked tirelessly, over the years, to help others in the community. There selfless love for family and community is well known. Because of devastating health problems, they are now the ones in need of a helping hand. Louise has worked for a local health care facility for over 20 years, but recently her hours have been cut.
Since our previous article about Louise and Roger Nilles there have been several steps forward and a few steps back.
The good news is that the much needed downstairs bathroom is almost completed, work has begun on a wheelchair ramp, and to everyone’s delight, Roger has an artificial limb. He’s on his way to his goal-to dance with Louise again.Continue reading →

Freeport IL.- ProLifeCorner.com- By Frank Munda- 2-19-2014- Benjamin Franklin said “We must all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately.” Thomas Paine wrote “These are the times that try men’s souls.” Even though these quotes came from heroes of the Revolutionary War, it can apply to this moment in America’s history. Up until 9/11, all attacks on American religious freedom and our way of life has been from external sources; not so anymore. For the past 6 years the Obama administration has waged open warfare on Catholics and all other Christians. These attacks are well documented, so therefore it is not necessary for me to recap them in this article. Continue reading →

ProLifeCorner.com- Today is the first week of Advent and Christians of all denominations are preparing for the coming of our Lord and Savior. Every year at this time, we at the ProLifeCorner like to remind ourselves and others to keep Christ in Christmas and especially keep Him in our heart. It is so easy to get caught up in the commercialism of the so-called holiday season. This is why we are so happy that most Christian denominations celebrate Advent. Many Christians use the advent wreath to help us visualize the light of the world, Jesus, coming closer and closer until His birth is celebrated on Christmas Day. It is a simple practice: four candles are placed around the wreath and each week of Advent another candle is lit. The first week one candle is lit, the second week two, etc. So each week getting closer to Christmas, more candles will be lit signifying that the light of the world, Jesus Christ is coming into our lives. Freeport IL.- In Stephenson County there is a large group of people presently sitting on the county board and some individuals who are running for County Board, who subscribe to tax and spend as much as you can. A letter was sent out to candidates on all sides of the aisle; this letter consisted of a candidate pledge to be a responsible board member. Some members of the board and some candidates signed this pledge. We have reprinted the pledge below. It is a simple yet reassuring statement that if a candidate would sign this and live by it, he or she would be a real asset to the Stephenson County board. Continue reading →
