My name is Anne,
I am a 45 year old mother of a perfectly healthy and precious newborn named Amber Rose Faith. The “Faith” part was added as our pregnancy progressed because it took a lot of it! And here is our story…
I was newly married after experiencing the deaths my mom, my sister and best friend to cancer all within two years Eleven months later my husband and I found out we were “expecting”.
Our Lord works in mysterious ways. Upon our suspicion, I went to my primary care doctor. He kept repeating the same phrase, “this is bad! So bad Anne.” I have a heart and spinal condition requiring medications that are dangerous if taken during pregnancy. I was already eight weeks along and Amber had been exposed to these meds for that long. My doctor explained that for these reasons and the advance age that I ‘needed’ to abort. Amber would likely be born with Down’s syndrome as well as a slew of other birth defects and learning disabilities. I explained to the doctor that regardless of his warnings I wanted to keep my baby. The Fallacies of Reasons for Abortion

If you take the time to study the arguments in favor of abortion you will find that none of them can be applied to decisions and actions regarding either individuals or groups. They all have some type of fallacy be it faulty reasoning, a mistaken belief or a failure in logic.
Murder has been with us since the start of human history, as indicated by the story of Cain and Abel in Genesis. As our society gets older we would expect it to become more mature, more knowledgeable and more humane. It appears that the exact opposite is true. As predicted by the Blessed Virgin at Fatima, things have only gotten worse. The 20th century may well be remembered as the bloodiest in human history. While figures vary, sources indicate that the Soviets, the Communist Chinese and the Nazis together killed more than 116 million people during this past century and this figure does not include other, lesser, atrocities by other governments.
