America’s Civil War on Abortion 7-13-2013-  by Larry Plachno- July 1-3 of 2013 marked 150 years since the Battle of Gettysburg. It was one of the bloodiest battles of the Civil War, leaving more than 6,650 dead, another 32,000 wounded and nearly 12,000 captured or missing. The Civil War was the worst of American conflicts, exceeding World War I and World War II as well as other battles and wars in the number of deaths. A total of two percent of the population of the United States, approximately 620,000 people, lost their lives in the Civil War. Continue reading
