ProLifeCorner – 6 27 26 – by staff – The following is a critical alert for immediate action!! Please read the short note and call asking for this bill to be VETOED. Thank you.
WE NEED TO MAKE CALLS TODAY.
Last week one of the worst pro-abortion bills in Illinois history was sent to Governor Rauner for his signature or veto. He is expected to take action by WEDNESDAY on this bill. It’s SB-1564, the bill that would force pro-life physicians, nurses and even pregnancy centers to make abortion referrals. Planned Parenthood and the ACLU are pulling out all the stops to get Gov. Rauner to sign the bill, and my sources tell me that their calls and emails are starting to run even with OURS. That means we have to call AND email Gov. Rauner again RIGHT NOW and tell him to VETO SB-1564! First, here are the numbers to call — please call BOTH: CHICAGO OFFICE: 312-814-2121 SPRINGFIELD OFFICE: 217-782-0244Continue reading →
ProLifeCorner- Beaumont, Alberta, Canada –Our friend Mark Pickup has been inspiring us with his writings for many years.Mark and his wife LaRee live in Canada and the problems they are facing regarding religious freedom and the murder of the pre-born child through state sponsored abortion and state sponsored euthanasia is as bad if not worse than here in the United States. He gives an example of the relentless attacks on the rights of Christians to practice their religion, even within the walls of their own schools. It is time for Christians of good will, priests, pastors, and Bishops to stand up and defend Christ and His church and say “enough is enough they have gone too far.” Let us return to the principles that this country was founded uponand take the state sponsored religion of Secular Humanism out of our schools, and once again allow us to call upon the protection and the blessings of our God.Continue reading →
ProLifeCorner – By Larry Plachno – Should government and leaders set aside good and evil, and take away religious liberty? This is one of the more pressing questions facing Christians in America today. Our government and leaders seem to feel that “anything goes” and that good and evil are old fashioned. Hence, we are faced with conflicts on abortion, marriage and other things between government mandates and our Christian morals. In many cases it is obvious that the traditional morals, and not the absence of good and evil, is the best thing for society.
This question is not something new to our generation and has been around for thousands of years. If you read the Gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke you will see that Jesus Christ was questioned by some people trying to trip him up on paying taxes. As was typical of Him, Jesus provided a very logical answer. Continue reading →
Rockford Illinois-25th ANNUAL NATIONAL NIGHT OF PRAYER FOR LIFE

“And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us”- John 1:14
As soon as the Holy Spirit overshadowed the womb of the Virgin Mother, God immediately became one of the human family. In like manner when a child is conceived, he becomes one of us. This little person now dwells among us. So that our nation may recognize this truth.. Continue reading →
Pro Life Corner – Freeport, Il – 11-9-2004 – by Annarae – Pro-Life sign has been vandalized!
Proponents of the “pro-choice” movement have spread their poison for many years under the guise of “everyone has the right to make the choice for abortion, euthanasia, etc.” That implies that a choice is actually available and given as much publicity and credence as the “choices” of abortion. In reality if one opposes the choice movement they are not given a public voice with equality nor is an opposition voice tolerated. Planned Parenthood is one of the largest, if not the largest, abortion provider in the U.S. They have received, over the last 10 years, over 4 (four) billion dollars in taxpayer money from the US government! That’s you and I supporting, against the will of so many of us, an agency that kills babies in the womb without regard to the safety and health of the women and young girls that go through the abortion procedure. ProLifeCorner.com – Chicago, Il –The following is a letter presented in Chicago’s St. Stanislov Kostka Church Bulletin from Aug. 3. The pastor is a dedicated priest and he has a 1 hr. radio show each Monday-Friday on AM 750 from noon to 1 pm.
Dear Parishioners, Friends, and Benefactors, I wonder if you’re feeling a little of what I feel these days – a little tired – a little sad – maybe even some anger. The words of the prophet Jeremiah are ever in my heart. Jeremiah recalls the happiness of his heart when he found God. He remembers the joy he had in devouring every word that came from the mouth of God. Because he bore the name of God, Jeremiah did not sit celebrating in the circle of merrymakers, but under the weight of God’s hand he sat alone. Continue reading →

Rockford, Il – (ProLifeCorner.com) – 3-28-2014 – by Rockford Pro-Life Initiative – In the past week Christians from Rockford went as a group to the Planned Parenthood abortion mills in Aurora and Madison to pray for and defend mothers and babies from the culture of death and to be a sign of Christ’s love for every person.
On Friday March 28, three Christian gentlemen spoke to the RAVE Board in Rockford about the coming appearance of anti-Christian bigot and hate monger Bill Maher at the city owned Coronado theater. Continue reading →
While Barack Obama has often been compared to leaders of the past, it’s unlikely anyone has yet associated him with Antiochus IV Epiphanes. Ruler of the Seleucid Empire between 175 and 164 B.C., King Antiochus is best known for the persecution of Jews, and one story from the second book of Maccabees is particularly relevant here. As the passage tells us, the king was bent on forcing a Jewish woman and her seven sons to, of all things, eat pork. The boys resisted and were tortured and killed one by one as their mother, who ultimately was also murdered, looked on. What’s interesting, though, is that while the victims were being faithful to what they believed was divine dietary injunction, there was no Seleucid commandment stating “Thou shalt compel others to dine on swine.” The act of eating such meat was but a trivial matter to Antiochus, yet he nonetheless insisted on imposing his will.
