This year, thank a veteran for serving our country.
ProLifeCorner – 11-10-2016 – by Annarae – We often hear the term “the greatest generation” referring to the men and women who served our country in World War II. Without a doubt, they gave their all for America. But let’s not forget the men and women who have served and who are still serving our nation since World War II. They also are giving their all-sacrificing so much to keep us free; free to worship God as we choose, free to live our lives without fear of oppression and for all the other freedoms written in our Constitution and Bill of Rights.
May God bless all of our military forces, past, present, and future. We thank you from the bottoms of our hearts.
When my daughter was growing up, I told her that everyone makes mistakes and that the best thing she could do for herself was to admit her mistakes and then learn from them. I also told her to learn from other people’s mistakes, as much as she could, so she could save herself the heartache of going through those things herself.
Human beings want to believe they are perfect and they certainly don’t want to tell anyone of the mistakes they have made because they think it makes them appear weak; but in reality, weakness lies in not being truthful with yourself and sharing that wisdom with others, especially the next generation – whether it be your own children, nieces and nephews, siblings, cousins, friends, etc. Continue reading →
